Super sweet hound. Housebroken and will go to the door to let you know if he needs to go out. Good with other dogs and loves all people. Walks on a leash and is also crate trained. Whiskey is neutered, vaccinated and heartworm negative. He is not a big hound. He is located in a foster home in Fredericksburg Va. He will be a great companion.

Hi there, I'm Lucky! Despite being deaf, I'm a cheerful, gentle soul with a playful streak. I've been told I'm quite the comedian, always up to some goofy antic that brings laughter to my friends here. I'm smart too, you know. I've learned to understand hand signals and can perform tricks that'll amaze you. I'm also independent, so I won't be under your feet all the time. But when you need a cuddle, I'm your guy. I'm mellow and sweet, just the right companion to brighten your day. So, why should you adopt me? Well, my goofy antics will keep you entertained, my gentleness will bring calm to your home, and my intelligence will keep you on your toes. Most of all, I promise to be your best friend, always there to offer a wagging tail and a cuddly snuggle. Let's make beautiful memories together! This pet is eligible for the PETS FOR PATRIOTS adoption program. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, his adoption fee is being sponsored by one of our generous volunteers. ##1673771##

Tulsa is a handsome hound dog who didn't have the best luck with his first adopted family. As Tulsa got bigger in size, he started knocking down the small children and for that... he was returned to the rescue. Tulsa was just being a puppy. He is very loving, playful, and energetic. He loves the outdoors and adores other animals. He was raised closely with cats, chickens, and other dogs all his life. He deserves an active family who will offer him lots of space to run and a loving place next to you at night! He is still a baby, so please offer him guidance and training so he can be the best boy for your family! Story
Winnie is the sweetest girl. She has a history of abuse and was a rescue from a neglect case. She is good with other dogs, cats and children. She loves to run and likes walks. She is approx 2-3 years old. She has a history of having seizures during medical procedure anesthesia. She is on keppra 2x a day due to this history. Aside from that she is the sweetest girl who just wants to be loved. I wish my family could keep her but we are going through a domestic violence situation and had to leave for our safety. The place we are staying at does not allow dogs. I would love for Winnie to find a loving and caring home more than anything who can give her the life she deserves.
