Brother to Shades, Flip Flop is a happy, playful guy who seems to approach every day like it’s the best day ever. He prances around, keeps his foster family laughing, and has plenty of love to give. At bedtime, Flip Flop is great about heading into his crate all by himself, and he even seems to consider it his safe place during thunderstorms. When he’s relaxing outside, he enjoys alternating between soaking up the sun and finding a nice shady spot for a nap. Flip Flop also has an impressive deep bark, which he happily contributes when the other dogs decide the delivery driver needs a proper announcement. 😂 At mealtime, Flip Flop can be a bit of a leisurely eater—sometimes dinner takes two sessions because there are simply too many interesting things going on to stop and finish eating! He loves to play and enjoys a good round of roughhousing, so his canine playmates should be sturdy and appreciate an enthusiastic play style. And when playtime is over? Flip Flop is an expert snuggler. He loves leaning into his people for hugs and affection. Brother to Flip Flop, Shades is a sweet, affectionate boy who brings joy wherever he goes. He is constantly wagging his tail, looking for affection, and eager to please. One of his favorite ways to show his love is by standing on his hind legs to give “hugs.” Shades has settled beautifully into life in a home and appears to be housebroken, with no accidents in over a month. He gets along very well with his foster siblings and seems to have just the right amount of energy to enjoy both older and younger dogs. He has also been introduced to doggie daycare at the local Dogtopia, where he passed his evaluation with flying colors. Everyone there agrees that Shades is a very good boy! Shades is food motivated and loves showing off his SIT. Most of all, he is a happy, loving dog who enjoys being around people and other dogs. He has come a long way in learning the comforts of life indoors and is ready to find a forever family of his own. We did a DNA test on one of the puppies, and here are the results: 64.2% American Foxhound; 29.4% Treeing Walker Coonhound; and 6.4% Pointer. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion with a constantly wagging tail and plenty of hugs to give, Shades may be the dog for you!
