Rex: The Executive AssistantWith a name like Rex, you might expect a commanding personality. A king. A conqueror. A dog with grand ambitions. Rex has other plans. He would like to be your executive assistant. His qualifications are impressive. He has extensive experience following humans from room to room, supervising household activities, accompanying important people into the yard, and ensuring that nobody ever has to undertake an ordinary task without canine support.Doing laundry? Rex will supervise.Working in the garden? Rex will accompany you.Sitting outside enjoying the sunshine? Rex considers this an excellent opportunity for a staff meeting. He is particularly skilled at sleeping in the sun, which he regards as an essential part of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.Rex is a quiet, pleasant, loyal fellow who doesn't need constant entertainment or a packed social calendar. He simply enjoys being near his people. Not necessarily demanding attention. Not insisting that every moment become an adventure.Just being there. And unlike many applicants for executive positions, Rex arrives with excellent credentials. He already knows “sit,” “stay,” “come,” and how to walk nicely alongside his person. His previous employment history is something of a mystery. Rex was found along a highway by friends of his rescuers. He appeared to have been well cared for, but somehow ended up abandoned and alone.Whatever happened, Rex hasn't lost his faith in people. He is comfortable meeting new humans and gets along with other dogs.He would, however, prefer colleagues who are polite and respectful. Aggressive office politics are not his style.Rex's ideal position would be in a quiet home with a yard and someone who appreciates a peaceful companion. He doesn't require long hikes, endless games, or elaborate entertainment. He just wants to be included. In return, Rex offers loyalty, companionship, excellent manners, and a reassuring presence throughout the day.Salary requirements?A comfortable place to sleep, a sunny spot in the yard, and the privilege of being wherever you are.References available upon request.Although Rex would prefer to deliver them in person. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.
