Meet Beethoven, a Whippet/Australian Staghound mix. This young boy is an 8 month old puppy, affectionate, effusive, and sometimes a little goofy, but he is a dog that has a lot of love to give, he has been spoiled and loved from the moment he was found, and he He is looking for a home where he will be given the same love. He plays with cats and dogs, and gets along well with children and adults. At first he may be a little shy, but he adapts very quickly. He loves walks, treats and chew toys. When he is angry, he wants to dominate other dogs, he is not aggressive, you just have to learn to understand him, greyhounds are a breed with a strong temperament and high energy, he needs to have discipline with them to keep his personality controlled. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Animal Profile: Wallen is a 11-month-old, 35 lb Foxhound mix that joined us from Modesto. He’s got goofy puppy energy, seeks our attention, and is very playful with other dogs. He’s a staff and volunteer favorite; everyone says he’s just the sweetest! Foster Update: Who loves HOUNDS?? Wallen is incredibly sweet and social and playful! He loves to run and play and is great in crate and on car rides. He has yet to meet a dog or human he doesn't like! He has not been tested around cats or kids, but since he's a hound, we expect some prey drive with cats and his exuberant energy could knock down a toddler, so kids 10 and older should be fine. Wallen needs work on his manners leash walking. He is fine when there are no dogs around , but he soooo badly wants to meet every dog that he can pull hard and bark excitedly in an attempt to make a friend-- he will benefit from training around this issue> he does want to please his person! He is a young dog so occasionally has some rude play behavior but he takes correction from humans and dogs very well. He would do incredibly well with a doggie playmate in his new home. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History:  This dog was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Modesto, California and being transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 3/14/2024. Meet Jasmine💕 who was rescued from a Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. When we let her out from her floating cage at first time to be ready for a future walk, Jasmine was so scared and strongly resisted. Once she stepped on the ground to go to a temporary ground cage, though, Jasmine started enjoying the feeling of touching glasses and exploring around. What a new sensation it must had been! 🌸She likes people so much! Very affectionate and gets along with other dogs.

Once we receive it a volunteer will be in contact with you via email.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course!
