Now, you can look at me and KNOW that I am special!! Physically I am special and emotionally I am SPECIAL TOO ) I love everyone AND I am great with dogs/cats and pigs!! Can you believe it?? Now, I am a great boy, 3 yrs old and a little underweight but that is ok :) I have had a rough three years... my family got me when i was a baby and little did they know that the "breeder" was not honest with them about my health issues.... I have a "redundant esophagus" which basically means I either have a sliding hiatal hernia OR a pouch created by fold in the esophagus... each term means I have had the propensity to eat and vomit. SO, luckily I have had all the diagnostics needed to assess and the plan for my eating and post eating is simple!! I get one pill about 30 minutes before I eat and then I sit quietly for 15-30 min after I eat. My diet is softened dry food and canned food with water to make mushy :) I am looking for the BEST home!! Everyone who meets me falls in love...I am kind of like a gargoyle :) My eyes look both ways and I am a low to the ground silly boy. I am such a good boy, you wlll be lucky to love me for life!! Welcome to our rescue Gizmo! This handsome boy is a 4 year old purebred Fluffy French Bulldog. Gizmo recently came to us as a surrender. Gizmo is housebroken, leash trained and follows basic commands. Gizmo is crate trained however you will need to carry him to his crate; as he will lay down and show you his tummy in protest to going into his crate. Gizmo is a barker, he barks at everything, even things no one else hears! Gizmo is a flight risk, he does try to make a run for it each time an opportunity presents itself, therefore he will require a secure fully fenced in yard. He is very energetic in spurts and loves to run around in the backyard and play with the other dogs in his foster home. His play does need to be monitored as he doesn't understand his limitations; Gizmo has Intervetebral degenerative disk disease and has undergone spinal surgery. Gizmo will require specialized care for the entirety of his life. Most of the time Gizmo plays nice with other dogs, however he will randomly snap at them, especially the more energetic ones. Preferably Gizmo should be adopted as an ONLY dog in the home. We are willing to consider applicants whom have a small dog in their home that is VERY PASSIVE and low energy.
