Story
Chubbs is a four year old male Pug/Jack Russell Terrier mix. He is learning some basic commands and how to walk on a leash. A sweet boy, Chubbs came to us a little unsure of things, but now loves attention. At 31 pounds, he is the perfect in-between size for anyone who might not know what size dog they are looking for. Chubbs is crate-trained, playful, and will be neutered prior to adoption. He is currently at the Shelter.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.February 28, 2026, 5:06 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.PUDDIN' and her mother PEACHES are 2 pugs that were dumped early one morning at a local car dealership.  Luckily there were some employees who are dog lovers and took them in for a little while until I was able to pick them up. As usually we look for the flaws in a dog if it was intentionally dumped but very few times do we find any.  That certainly is the case with PUDDIN' & PEACHES, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.  Each of them is very happy, PEACHES is the more social butterful and PUDDIN' is more reserved.  They love each other and love to be with each other although they do play and interact with the other foster dogs in the home. PUDDIN' is 9 months old and 14 pounds.  PEACHES is 3 years old and 13 pounds.  They both like to cuddle and get head rubs but PUDDIN' lays on her back to get a belly rub.  PUDDIN' is also the one with the slight underbite that makes her look just that more special. PEACHES & PUDDIN' do not need to be adopted together but they would be very happy dogs to have another dog in the home to play and cuddle with. They already walk well on a leash and ride in the car without getting sick.  And on the plus side they are not yeppers, no barking or whining, just running around playing and kind of submissive.  I would love for them to be adopted together but to separate them there would have to be another playful dog already in the home that is interested in one of them.  Neither of them would do well as an only dog. Their activity level is normal, nothing hyper but they do love to run around the backyard playing with each other and toys. If you are interested in adopting PEACHES and/or PUDDIN', please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you for your interest. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 21, 2025, 10:07 am

Story
Spartan is a handsome 4-year-old Bulldog mix weighing about 40 pounds, with a personality that’s equal parts playful goofball and devoted cuddle buddy. He loves being around people and has that classic “big softie” charm that makes Bulldogs so easy to adore. One of Spartan’s absolute favorite things is splashing in a kiddie pool. Give him some water on a warm day and he’s in heaven — wading, pawing, and cooling off with pure joy. He also enjoys playtime and being outdoors, especially if it means spending time with his favorite humans. When the fun is over, Spartan transforms into a champion snuggler. He loves leaning into you, curling up close, and soaking in all the affection he can get. He has a sweet, easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion for relaxing evenings at home. Spartan gets along very well with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine friend, though he’d also do just fine soaking up all the attention himself. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, fun-loving companion who will make you smile every day and keep you company on the couch at night, Spartan could be your perfect match. Spartan will arrive in Albion, NY in mid March and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked. Story
Charlie is a 1.5-year-old Boston Terrier/Lab Mix weighing about 50 pounds — the perfect medium-sized bundle of pure love and goofiness. His story began at a mechanic’s shop out west, where kind people made sure he had food and water. Unfortunately, life on the street wasn’t easy for such a gentle soul. Other dogs picked on him, and sweet, slightly clueless Charlie never quite figured out how to stand up for himself. After one rough encounter, a good Samaritan got him veterinary care and kept him safe until he could find a real home. Now safe and thriving, Charlie's true personality shines: he is an absolute sweetheart who greets you by bouncing up like a 10-pound puppy trapped in a 50-pound body. Personal space? He’s never heard of it. Hugs are his favorite thing in the world. Charlie loves everyone he meets — adults, kids, strangers, visitors — if you have hands, he would like them on him, please and thank you. He also loves other dogs and is happy to have an easygoing canine companion. He’s so non-confrontational that even the resident cats chase him around the house… and he just goes with it. This lovable goof is playful, affectionate, and endlessly cheerful. He would thrive in a home that can give him attention, guidance, and lots of snuggles. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a cuddle champion, and a dog who will greet you like you’ve been gone for years every single time you walk in the door, Charlie is your guy. Charlie will arrive in Albion, NY in mid March and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico.
