Story
Kali is available for our foster to adopt program! Kali is a 9 year old, 25-pound female French Bulldog from the San Diego Humane Society. Affectionately called Meatball, she is a bundle of energy and has a classic Frenchie attitude. She LOVES her humans and always wants to play. She will readily roll over on her back expectantly waiting for belly rubs with excited snorts. When her foster mom comes home from work she greets her at the door with hoarse excited barks and DEMANDS all the attention, pets/scratches, and belly rubs one is willing to give. After a good zoomie session, she's ready to snuggle and relax on the floor (or the couch if she can get a lift up there). One of the cutest things is when she face plants into you and just settles in for a good cuddle.  Kali is housebroken (wee wee pads and outside trained). She does well with 3 walks a day with a wee wee pad to relieve herself while her foster mom is out at work. Kali has shown no separation anxiety when left alone. Kali can be reactive to bigger dogs on walks and has been working on her leash manners. She walks nicely next to her people, and does the best sniffies in the grassy areas. On walks you can expect some barking at other dogs as they pass by, but she can move along pretty quickly. She is smart, and eager to please her foster mom when on walks (when prompted to do so, she will look to her for cues). We also think she knows SIT! Kail will thrive with an owner who is breed familiar and ready to form a bond with her through continued training.  She would be happiest as a solo dog, as she is only really interested in love from humans. She is currently fostered with a dog and cats and will tolerate them but does not seek out affection from them. She has the tendency to guard her bed and objects from other animals so should she be adopted to a home with other pets, it would need to be an experienced family, who would closely manage behaviors in the home. As a solo dog she has shown no guarding behavior.Kali would do fine in a home with older children - she can be mouthy with play, which might overwhelm young children, but she has no problem with little humans and would love a family that will dote on her and play with her endlessly. Kali had one eye removed due to a previous injury, but it doesn't seem to bother her at all. Recently, she also had a mass removed and biopsied. The mass came back as a Mast Cell tumor, the most common skin tumor in dogs. The biopsy classified the tumor as low grade and was completely removed (meaning the surgery is expected to be curative as these tumors are unlikely to spread to other parts of the body). Kali will need to be monitored for any new bumps but doesn't need any specialized care besides regular senior wellness exams with her primary vet. If you have any questions our adoption team is happy to share her medical records and speak with you further. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  To apply for Kali, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2338050##

Story
Frankie May is just over 1 year old. her b-day is April 10, 2025. I love her with all my heart but I have a nerve disease which makes it almost impossible to take her out on walks. She is good on the leash but is afraid of the car. She does better if she is on your lap. Not the safest place I know but it calms her down. She loves the vet and the people there. We go to Catskill Vet services. they have an office in Rock Hill in Sullivan county and one in Middletown in Orange county. I had a Frenchy that died of cancer at 5 years old and was so heart broken I didn't take my problems into account. I just wanted my baby back. And that is a mistake I think several people have gone through. If I didn't have this Chronic Pain disease that even the weather affects me maybe I would never have put us all through this. Frankie is a good girl. she will use the dog pads in the house. Sometimes she will go on the deck but rarely in the grass. she just need more excersie that I cant give her.

Story
I’m Diya—a 4-year-old Frenchie with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I weigh about 34 pounds, which means I’m sturdy enough for adventure but still the perfect size for cozy cuddles. I absolutely love people and other dogs, and I’m always ready to make new friends wherever I go. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a nap by your side, I’m happiest when I’m sharing life with someone. I should probably tell you—I have some allergies that cause a little inflammation around my eyes. It doesn’t slow me down or change how much love I have to give though! If you’re looking for a best girlfriend who will light up your days with wiggles, kisses, and that classic Frenchie charm, I’m ready and waiting with my whole heart. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Good with dogs,
Story
Hi there everyone! I’m Quincy—a 6-year-old female Frenchie with a sweet soul and a heart that’s ready for a fresh start. I weigh about 31 pounds, just the right size for cozying up next to you or finding the perfect sunny spot for a nap. Everyone says I’m a total cutie pie, but what I’m really dreaming for is someone who sees how much love I have to give once you get to know me. I have a good temperament around other dogs and enjoy their company, but when it comes to people, I can be a little shy at first. But with a little patience and kindness and a canine buddy in my forever home I will come right out of my shell. Are you the forever family I have been dreaming of? Story
Hi there, I’m Jones—a 7-year-old Frenchie looking for a forever home. I weigh about 36 pounds, and every ounce of me is packed with love, loyalty, and a little bit of that classic Frenchie charm. I’m the kind of guy who’s just happy to be part of the action, whether that means lounging by your side or tagging along for a stroll around the block. I’m sweet, friendly, and I get along great with both people and other dogs. I’ve been around long enough to know that the best things in life are the simple ones—good company, cozy naps, and lots of love. If you’re searching for a sweet, happy soul to make your home feel even warmer, I might just be your perfect match.
