Story
• Name: Prince “Meatball”• Male or female? Male• Approximate Age: 8 months old• Breed: French Bulldog• Weight: 32 lbs• Any impairments: Prince has cherry eyes that occasionally come and go. His vet has determined that they are not currently causing him any issues, and surgery would be purely cosmetic at this time. He also has an old ulcer on his left eye.• Potty trained? Mostly! He can have accidents if he isn’t taken outside frequently.• Crate trained? Yes! He sleeps comfortably in his crate for about 8 hours. When he wakes up and starts crying, he needs to be let outside right away or he may have an accident in his crate.• Good with other dogs? Prince has been good with dogs bigger than him that can tolerate his roughhousing and playful personality. He can be pushy with other dogs and needs continued work on his manners. He did not do well with a much smaller dog.• Good with cats? Unsure• Good with kids? Yes!• Commands known: Sit, shake, bed• Needs fenced in yard? No• Need another dog in the home? No• Location: Howell, MI• Energy level: Medium• Bio: Prince, affectionately known as Meatball, is a goofy, fun-loving Frenchie with a BIG personality! He is playful, affectionate, great with kids, and loves being part of whatever his people are doing. He knows sit, shake, and bed, has an excellent recall, and takes redirection very well. He responds well to a firm “no” and does well with clear boundaries and consistency. Prince does have some leash reactivity that will need continued work and training. He can also be pushy with other dogs, especially when playing, but he has been good with bigger dogs who can tolerate his rough-and-tumble play style. A smaller or more timid dog would not be the best match for him. His cherry eyes occasionally come and go, but his vet has confirmed they are not currently causing him any issues and would only need to be addressed surgically for cosmetic reasons at this time. Prince doesn’t need a fenced-in yard or another dog in the home. He’s a sweet, hilarious, entertaining boy who will keep you laughing and absolutely make himself part of the family!
