🐾 Meet Sketch 🐾Special Needs DEAF 💙👂Sketch has recently been found to be deaf, which means he’ll need a very special family willing to help him safely navigate the quiet world he lives in 🥺💙 Deaf dogs can live incredibly happy, full lives, but they do require a little extra patience, understanding, and consistency.Because Sketch cannot hear people approaching, he can become startled easily if someone suddenly appears behind him or touches him unexpectedly. For this reason, we are requiring a home with children 12 and older, as younger children can accidentally forget they need to let Sketch see them before touching him. 🐾Another calm, well-socialized dog already established in the home would be a huge benefit for Sketch! 🐶💕 Deaf dogs often look to other dogs for cues about the world around them, and having a confident canine buddy can help him feel safer and more secure.His future family will also need to be extra mindful about securely latching doors and gates at all times, as deaf dogs can easily become lost if they wander off and cannot hear someone calling for them. Safety and routine will be very important for this sweet boy. 💙This sweet boy is the perfect mix of laid-back and lovable 🥰 He’s mostly chill and loves nothing more than stretching out for a long belly rub session 🐶✨ Give him some tummy scratches and he’ll melt into a happy little puddle, often dozing off right in your lap 😴💕 Total lap dog in the making!While Sketch is super relaxed most of the time, he’s not afraid to speak up when he wants your attention 🗣️🐾 Expect some adorable little vocalizations — nothing loud, just enough to say, “Hey, I’m here and I like you!” 💙 Once he has your focus, he’s playful, silly, and always ready for a gentle game or some zoomies around the yard 🌿🐕💨He’s a genuinely sweet soul who gets along wonderfully with his littermates 🐶🐶, making him a great fit for a multi-dog home or a calm household where he can soak up all the love. Whether he’s cuddled on the couch 🛋️, playing with furry friends 🐾, or dramatically flopping over for more belly rubs 😂, Sketch brings warmth, happiness, and plenty of smiles wherever he goes ☀️💙Small breed mixed puppy - with what we do not know. Mom is Mural, 22 lbs mixed breed and dad is a mystery.
