Name: Doritos Breed: French Bulldog Weight: 21 pounds Gender: Male Spayed/neutered: Soon to be neutered Age: 7 years (DOB Jan.13 or 23/18) Vaccinated: yes Obtained From: A European breeder. Reason for Intake: Owner has allergies and works long hours Up to Date with Vetting: Yes. Good with dogs: Yes. He lived with an Alaskan Malamute in his first home. In his 2nd home he lived with a male, neutered French Bulldog. He has also stayed with a Weimaraner for 2 weeks and been boarded at a dog hotel 3 times with no issues. Good with cats: He has not lived with a cat. His vet office has 2 office cats and he has greeted them well. Good with kids: He has not lived with kids but has been good interacting with babies, toddlers, and teenagers. Good with strangers: Yes. He is very happy to see visitors and will go up and say hello and solicit attention from them. Resource guarding issues: He would guard his food bowl from the other dog he lived with so they were fed separately. He has not guarded anything else from dogs or people. Ever bitten a human: No Ever bitten a dog: No Fears: Housetrained: Yes. He has always lived in an apartment and peed and pooped on walks. He is Pee Pad trained. Crate trained: Yes. He was crated very long hours in his previous home. Overnight and up to 12 hours during the daytime. He will also use the crate as his safe place. Good in the car: Yes but must be restrained Bark when left alone: Not with reasonable time frames Destructive: He is always crated when they go out. He is not destructive when they are home. Energy Level: Low to Medium Does not like the cold even with coats. He goes out and does business then right back in. Maybe 5 minutes in morning and perhaps 15 minutes in afternoon. Leash skills: He walks well on leash and does not show concern with people/dogs/vehicles. He greets other dogs appropriately on walks. Okay with physical handling/manipulations: Yes. Foster can pet him and brush him and can handle his feet and nails. Loves to sit on Fosters knee to watch TV. Known commands: sit, paw, stay, go inside, quiet, come, fetch. Owners attended obedience classes with him. Food on now: Zignature Limited Ingredient Kangaroo Formula kibble. 1/2 cup in the morning, 1/2 cup at noon, and 1/2 cup at 4pm. He gets Zignature treats, and salmon treats. At intake it was identified that he appeared to be doing some itching and his skin and coat were dry. At his Vet appointment it was thought Dorito may have some skin allergies and Foster was advised to keep him on the Kangaroo Kibble. As well as to add some Omega 3 liquid to his diet once a day. He eats his food very fast so he is eating out of a slow feeding dish. Behavioural issues: He is described as intelligent, athletic, needy and liking to be near his people. He will hump when stressed or when over stimulated, but this will decrease when neutered, and when he is comfortable in the home, as this has been found with foster, he will respond to the off command. Medical issues: In his first home his owner stepped on his front right foot and he required surgery and 2 pins to fix the bone. He was about 1 year old when it happened. June 2025 he was boarded at a dog hotel and he got septic arthritis in his right front elbow. He was treated and recovered. Dec 2025 he was identified as possible allergy and advised to keep on Zignature as well as given pills to help with scratching ( (Apoquel 5.4 mg) and Omega 3 liquid to help with coat, skin and joints (EICOSADERM). Owner identified that he does have trouble with stairs but Foster does not have stairs so can't confirm December 6, 2025, 7:21 pm

Penny | French Bulldog | 3.5 years | Female *We cannot guarantee breed nor age. Temperament: Sweet, high energy, incredibly intelligent. Activity Level: Medium-High energy. Vetting: Vaccinated (DH2PP, Rabies), spayed, microchipped, dewormed, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention year-round. Penny is on Fluoxetine and Gabapentin which has helped significantly. She also has allergies to turkey, chicken, duck and lamb (developed a significant rash on her belly). She had a small reaction to fish (very tiny rash) so we have been avoiding that protein as well. So far she seems ok with beef, kangaroo and pork. Due to the breed's susceptibility to health issues, a home with knowledge around French Bulldog’s common issues is essential. Pet insurance is a must! Future owners should take precautions to avoid overheating, limit stress and seek immediate medical attention if she experiences respiratory distress. Housebroken: Yes. Good with Dogs: Penny is fantastic with dogs when out and about but can be protective and territorial at home. She may show resource guarding behaviour towards other dogs indoors, so a single-pet household is necessary. It’s important to note that all introductions to new dogs should be done in a careful and controlled manner. Good with Cats: No. Good with Children: No. Prey Drive: Yes. Response to outdoors: Penny adores walks, hiking and swimming, and she’s always curious about the world around her. She’s the perfect adventure buddy! Crate-Trained: Yes. Resource Guarding: Penny resource guards with other dogs but not with humans. Response to Commands: She knows sit, stay, heel and fetch. She has been working hard in a board and train with the amazing Dog Hero to learn more fantastic skills. Are they vocal: Not overly barky but she loves to express herself with grumbles and grunts. She will, however, alarm bark at knocks and doorbells. Leash Etiquette: Penny is an excellent walker both on and off-leash, with solidly developing recall and a penchant for stopping to sniff around. Transportation: Penny loves car rides and is always up for an adventure! Introducing the charming Penny! Penny is a slow burn of love. It is very important to note, however, she will be very apprehensive at first. In fact, for the first three weeks in foster care, she had to be kept leashed at all times as she wouldn’t allow us to put a leash on her collar without screaming. She has some issues around physical handling and needs trust with her handlers to be built slowly and patiently. After some time getting to know us, she did eventually relax and we are now able to do whatever we need for her for the most part. Once she gets over her initial fears and inhibitions, Penny is a real treat! Penny can be a snuggly sweetheart who adores affection and belly rubs. However, again, it’s important to take this kind of affection very slowly with her until she feels fully at ease. She loves to start her day with playful energy, and if you’re going on an adventure, she wants to be right there beside you! Whether it’s hiking, swimming or just lounging around, Penny is your loyal companion, ready to jump into any family activity. With her playful spirit, Penny will keep you entertained with her antics. She’s known for her joyful flips when excited and her adorable baby dragon that she snuggles with at night. Her quirky sideways glances and delightful sounds will have you laughing in no time! Kolbe may be small in size, but he’s big on personality! This spirited little guy was surrendered to us when his previous family struggled to meet his exercise, mouthing, and training needs. Now, Kolbe is searching for an experienced, adult-only home that can provide him with the structure and routine he craves. Kolbe is incredibly friendly and his tail is always wagging! His excitement is contagious, and he has the most adorable smile when he's happy. However, when Kolbe gets anxious or playful, he can sometimes grab random objects or people's clothing. He’ll need a family that is dedicated to helping him navigate these behaviors and avoid situations that could overstimulate him. For this reason, Kolbe would do best in a home without children, small dogs, or cats. We are currently assessing how he interacts with large dogs, so we'll provide updates as we learn more. Kolbe loves working for treats, receiving butt scratches, and playing structured games of fetch and tug. He will require a few visits and training sessions at Dog Tales to ensure a smooth and successful transition to his forever home. Upon arrival, Kolbe was diagnosed with Leptospirosis. After undergoing intensive treatment, Kolbe has made a full recovery from the infection, but his kidneys were damaged. He has been diagnosed with early-stage chronic kidney disease (Stage 3). At this time, he is stable, with no symptoms aside from needing to urinate a bit more frequently than usual. His condition is being closely monitored, and he does not require any medications at this stage. However, Kolbe should be fed a prescription kidney diet to help slow the progression of his condition. Kolbe is a sweet, loving boy who just needs the right family to help him continue to thrive. Could that be you?

Mackey does not trust new people easily but with a proper introduction and lots of time, he learns to share his things and give affection. Once comfortable with his people, he listens well and is bouncy and playful. Mackey will need an experienced adult family to manage his resource guarding and teach him how to live in a house. Mackey is very intelligent and has learned many different ways to control these behaviors. He will need continued practice with muzzle training for vet visits and boundaries in the home to control his resource guarding. With clear guidance and reward for desired behavior, Mackey can easily learn to live in a home. Mackey has a high prey drive which makes him aggressive towards small dogs and wildlife. He will need lots of control on walks, distance away from all dogs, constant obedience training and positive reinforcement to keep him in a good mindset and paying attention to his owner. Mackey would do best in a house with a fully fenced yard.
