We truly appreciate your patience while we work through this issue — and thank you for wanting to help a rescue dog    — Loyal Rescue Name/Tag#: Osiris 3785 Age: 18 months Sex/Altered: Male / Neutered Weight: 5 lbs Breed: Chihuahua mix Foster Home Location: OTTAWA, ON Adoption Fee: $900.00 Temperament: Sweet, playful, curious, loving, Activity/Energy Level: Low Up to date on Shots: Yes Housebroken: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Ok with Dogs: Good with small dogs but dogs bigger than 10 lbs Ok with Cats: No Ok with Kids: No, looking for adult only home Origin: Mass Breeding Facility Requirements: A secured fenced yard (no tie out or electric fencing, REMEMBER he could squeeze out of small places), someone home with him at least part time, adult only home, can be the only dog or with another small dog his size Meet Osiris! Around my foster home, I'm also known as Babe or Mister—I'll happily answer to them all! I may only weigh 5 pounds, but my heart is absolutely enormous. If there's one thing I've learned about myself, it's that I was made to love people. My favorite place in the world is wherever my humans are... especially at bedtime! I'm hoping to find a forever family that doesn't mind sharing the bed with me. Every night, I curl up at the top of the bed, get cozy, and sleep soundly until you tell me it's time to start the day. Because I'm such a tiny little guy, I'm looking for an adult-only home with a securely fenced yard. I'm small enough to squeeze through the tiniest openings, so my safety is very important. I currently live with several other dogs in my foster home and have discovered that I'm happiest with dogs my own size or smaller. I love playing with my little canine friends! Larger dogs can be a bit overwhelming for me, and I'm not afraid to let them know I'd prefer they keep their distance. I also enjoy going for walks. If we happen to see a bigger dog, my foster mom simply scoops me up into what she jokingly calls "air jail." The moment I'm safely in her arms, I stop barking, relax, and happily continue our adventure. I truly believe I was put on this earth to love and be loved. Now I'm searching for a forever family who will love me to the moon and back, keep me safe, and make me part of their everyday life. If you think we might be the perfect match, I'd love to receive your application. I can't wait to start the next chapter of my life with a family who will cherish me forever. And now, a few words from my foster mom: Osiris may be tiny, but he has a huge heart and enough personality to fill an entire house! Certified in being your very best friend, this little guy wants to be wherever you are. Osiris has perfected the art of the surprise snack theft. He'll patiently watch you enjoy your fries, waiting for the perfect moment. Before you know it, one has disappeared right out of your hand, and you'll turn to find Osiris happily munching away with the most innocent expression on his face. His clever antics don't stop there. Around the other foster dogs, Osiris quietly watches as they enjoy a favorite bone or toy. The instant an opportunity presents itself, he swoops in, snatches the prize, and settles down to enjoy it himself before the other dog even realizes what happened. It's all done so quickly and confidently that you can't help but laugh. Osiris is incredibly smart, lightning-fast, and always knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. Despite his mischievous side, he doesn't have a mean bone in his little body. He's simply a happy, lovable character with a zest for life, a talent for making people smile, and a heart full of love. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing every day, Osiris is truly one of a kind. Questions? Story
Hello, my name is Rosa!I’m the sweetest wee senior pup you’ll ever meet. I came to GHS in need of a lot of help, but after a few months of specialized medical care and lots of love, I’m ready to spend my golden years with my new forever family! Despite everything, I’m a loving, friendly, easygoing gal who just wants to be adored. My new family should know I have a chronic skin condition, history of mast cell tumours, early cataracts, and possible reduced hearing. I know this sounds scary, but my conditions are currently well controlled! I will need routine monitoring throughout my life, so you should chat with your veterinarian before adopting me! My friends at GHS will share more details about my conditions with my applicants.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Teenagers may be ok, but no young children as I’m looking for a calm retirement home.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, with a calm and respectful dog who won’t pester me in trying to play.CATS: Potentially, with a cat comfortable with dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best in a home that has dog experience, especially with medical conditions.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily. HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily. SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.SPECIAL DIET: Yes, I’m on a hypoallergenic diet.If you think I would make a good match for your home, please click the `Adopt Me` button to apply!

Story
Austin is an independent little guy! He enjoys playing ball, exploring the grass and going for long walks. He will be sure to love you forever if you give him lots of butt scratches. Austin came from a home where kids did not respect his space, therefore he can bite when he is resource guarding. He has been doing amazing with us but will need a home that is comfortable working through this and also allowing Austin to have lots of quiet time and a safe place. Ideally, Austin would do well in a quiet household with only adults.

Story
Mackey was rescued after a life of living outside all alone. This powerhouse is such a fun loving boy! Mackey does not trust new people easily but with a proper introduction and lots of time, he learns to share his things and give affection. Once comfortable with his people, he listens well and is bouncy and playful. Mackey will need an experienced adult family to manage his resource guarding and teach him how to live in a house. Mackey is very intelligent and has learned many different ways to control these behaviors. He will need continued practice with muzzle training for vet visits and boundaries in the home to control his resource guarding. With clear guidance and reward for desired behavior, Mackey can easily learn to live in a home. Mackey has a high prey drive which makes him aggressive towards small dogs and wildlife. He will need lots of control on walks, distance away from all dogs, constant obedience training and positive reinforcement to keep him in a good mindset and paying attention to his owner. Mackey would do best in a house with a fully fenced yard.
