We would love to find a loving home for this angel, Nessie. We have had her since she was a puppy, but unfortunately her and our older dog’s personalities do not mesh well and it has caused unresolvable issues. She is very sweet, loving, and energetic. She is great with kids, very protective, and is house trained. We would prefer it to be a family that would be willing to give us occasional updates, as we do love her and are sad this hasn’t worked out. She is spayed, and we will provide some of her initial things. She needs to be in a home where she is the only dog. I honestly don't know how she would respond to cats, but she wants all the attention so we would prefer her to be the only pet. I put in her profile that she is microchipped, but does not have a current subscription service. The only "special needs" she has is to get her toenails clipped at maximum every 6 weeks, she has one toenail that grows very fast and it will grow into her paw if it isn't maintained.

She was found by Fort Worth Animal Care & Control in tragic circumstances, but despite everything she has been through, she remains gentle, loving, and eager for affection.Boone tested heartworm positive upon intake, but she has since completed treatment and has been cleared by our veterinary team as healthy and ready for adoption. Unfortunately, it’s become clear that he will not be able to return to her within a timeframe that works best for me, so I’m now searching for a loving new home for this sweet girl. Cookie is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll meet. She LOVES attention, pets, and being around people. She has so much personality and will definitely keep you laughing with her funny little quirks. She’s very affectionate, laid back, and enjoys being loved on. She would do best with someone who has the time and patience to give her the attention she deserves. Rehoming her is not a decision being made lightly I just want to make sure she ends up somewhere safe, stable, and full of love.
