Here are some of her opinions on things – no one should be allowed to do anything fun without her, treats should be given out freely and often, and she should be able to go back inside as soon as she’s done using the potty (She is not an Adventurer but rather identifies as a Sofa Princess). Giselle can be a little nervous around new people at first, but once you’ve earned her trust she is as goofy and playful and affectionate as they come. Due to her past, she is extra weary of men (and we don’t blame her), but she loves food so with some of treats and patience, we think she can be won over by just about anyone. She is learning to play with toys. We have learned that Giselle loves to snuggle with her person, loves attention and love to follow you around the house to see what you are doing. She is not a fan of being left alone, but does well in her crate and will settle down after a short time. Meet Bulbasaur- who was found wandering in the middle of the road. He does not have a tail- but believe us -if he could talk he'd have tales to tell. Despite the fact he is in unfamiliar place- he is still giddy- loves meeting new people- and will gleefully wiggle on the rug as you scratch his belly. For some reason he does not have a tail- is not able to hear very well- but his eyesight seems to be alright. He loves plushies- is a snorter- and absolutely adores treats. He is a brave boy when it comes to cleaning his ears but not so much when it comes to clipping his nails lol. :) What Mr. Bulbasaur needs a family who is knowledgeable of french bulldogs and the health issues they may incur due to their breed. Further more- he needs a family (even if it is just one person) to not let him down again. No one has come looking for this beautiful dog- right now staff hopes that Bulbasaur wasn't discarded simply because he aged. This dog has a heart big enough to trust one more time :). P.S. : Mr. Bulbasaur does a great job of doing his business outside- however we are not certain how far he was trained but we do know he's been socialized. He does not bark at cats nor growl as well. Hello there the adoption fee is $20.00 CASH OR CHECK it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 60 day window can be extended however only by a vets discretion. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!

No need to adjust your set! Yes, this is Westie & Scottie Rescue and, yes, that is a French Bulldog. Sometimes our fosters are willing to take in other breeds they have experience with, allowing us to help those in dire need. Meet DD, a girl who exemplifies dire need. DD was unwanted, kept in a crate on a porch and not even given a name. When she arrived at Wescue, she was severely underweight, had skin and ear infections, hip dysplasia on both sides and bilateral luxating patellas. (Ever buy a Frenchie off Craigslist or the side of the road? Don’t be surprised if the mama was like DD.) Despite all that, DD could not be sweeter! She is healing in the care of her awesome foster family with vet guidance. When she is well enough, she will be spayed and have her knees fixed. Meanwhile she is working on housetraining and soaking up all the love needed to make up for her previous neglect. DD will be looking for a furever home when she is ready. Will it be with you? Frenchie experience required! DD will be vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and tested heartworm negative. Her adoption donation includes 6 months’ heartworm preventative meds, prepaid lifetime premium microchip registration, and safety harness.
