Kirby has been a member of our family since 2020. He is a very loving, kind, sweet dog. Unfortunately, Kirby has been diagnosed with IVDD, and his medical expenses are too much for my family right now. I would love for Kirby to go to a beautiful loving home.

Story
Introducing Boba T  We got a call from our partner in SC about a 9 year French Bulldog who found himself in a very rural shelter after being confiscated. We don’t know his story but we do know that he is underweight and his teeth are so filed down that eating kibble is not an easy task. We don’t know if he tried to chew his way out of a crate or try to free himself from a chain, which would not be surprising given the area he came from. Boba T needs an adopter who is willing to let him live out his remaining in comfort and love. He has done well with other dogs and is extremely friendly with people. He does not share his food and toys well with other dogs but will gladly share with any human. Boba would be happy as an only dog but would also do fine in a home with other dogs who are playful, with an experienced dog owner who will not set him up for failure. Story
YARA!!!! So much to say about this sweet sweet soul. She has the cutest under bite that lights up your day. It is impossible to stay angry at that face. Yara is approximately 1 and a half years old. She is spayed, house trained and kennel trained. Yara does great with all other dogs. She even helps her foster mom with the foster pups. She just loves keeping them rounded up and rolls over on her back so they can get to her face to play. Yara even attends doggie daycare where she is perfect in the big dog room and even great in the small dog areas!!! Yara, being just one year, does have energy. She loves her walks but can pull just a bit when excited by another dog. She gets sooooo excited when the leash comes out. Yara is great in the car and her foster mom really has no complaints. If you won’t let her in your lap she lays at your feet with her head on them. She makes a nice foot warmer or blanket which ever you wish. Yara would be wonderful in a home with another dog with energy to exhaust. They could tire each other out then settle in for nice long naps. Once adopted Yara will travel via private RescueVet transport co. to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this girl part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fill out an Adoption Application Is your shadow letting you down? Is it proving to be just a fair weather friend? Are you looking for a new shadow? Well look no further! Meet Miss Bea, aka Meatball. She will happily take the place of your shadow (even on those rainy, gloomy days). She’ll never let you down! Likes: Miss Bea loves food, her people and belly and rump rubs. Pretty much any attention you give Miss Bea, she eats right up. Dislikes: According to Miss Bea, all vacuum cleaners need to die. Otherwise, Miss Bea complains about nothing. She has yet to meet a stranger (well, maybe the vet is just a teensy bit suspicious). Personality: Miss Bea is all wiggles and kisses. Temperament: Happy, happy, happy! Miss Bea is fine with brushing, though she can be wiggly happy during her spa sessions. She is also fine with having her nails done. Energy level: Even with her confirmation issues, Miss Bea is one energetic young lady…if only all that energy could be harnessed, dogs like Miss Bea could very well be the answer to the energy crisis! Favorite activities: Being with her people; eating; sleeping; snoring; chewing safe bones; stuffed and squeaky toys will be met with a swift death. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: Miss Bea has a high prey drive and, therefore, would not do well with cats or other small, non-canine critters. She has not yet been tested around young children, however, due to her enthusiasm and mouthiness, she would probably do best with teenagers.  Miss Bea does quite well with other dogs both male and female, big and small. However, she can initially come on a bit strong (think freight train). She would do best in a home with another dog that can keep up with her exuberance. Not good with: (Cats? Dogs? Strangers? Men? Kids?) - Cats and other small critters (she thought the chickens would make for fun, chaseable, squeaky toys). Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: Yes. Bribe her with a piece of cheese and she will go right in and settle down quickly. Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Yes Walks well on a leash? Miss Bea pulls a little but listens well and is very eager to please. Challenges: Dyson vacuums have nothing on Miss Bea! She will need a slow feeder bowl (the slower the better). Miss Bea is working on her mouthiness; taking treats gently; sharing toys; leash manners and jumping up. Any Medical issues? Miss Bea will be having an ortho consult to address her confirmation issues (which don’t slow her down or seem to affect her running and playing). She is currently receiving a daily Cosequin pill to help her joints stay as healthy as possible.  What would be the best kind of home? One with another doggie friend that matches her energy to play and cuddle with. Though she does well in her crate, someone who works from home would be an added bonus as Miss Bea adores her people. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include, but are not limited to: pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Our rescue policy requires the following: Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. We will not adopt a giant breed dog to homes where the dog will have access to highly varnished hardwood steps inside the home. Any inside steps to which the dog(s) have access, must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. Methods or devices using pain or force on the dog to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior is prohibited. Applications for giant breed dogs must be submitted by the property owner. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary records will be checked. All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home. All family members must be present during the home visit to the applicant's home. Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being considered, before any adoption can be completed. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption. Exceptions to this policy can be found on the Adoptable Dog Page.
