Meet Fifi! 🖤🤍 This gorgeous 5-year-old shepherd–husky mix (70 lb of fluff and opinions) is ready to find her perfect match! Fifi is a loyal, low-energy companion who mostly wants to be near her humans — ideally supervising you from the couch while giving you her signature side-eye of approval. 👀💕 Fifi is kennel and house-trained, loves her stuffies, and has a special fondness for her rope toy. She's also a big fan of chasing birds (they're very suspicious, after all). She'll proudly collect any dirty socks left within reach and will treat you to a celebratory zoomie lap after every successful potty break — it's her thing, and she takes it very seriously. 🏃‍♀️💨 She's settled nicely into routines and thrives on structure. Fifi is getting really good at transitions like sitting before entering or exiting the house, waiting patiently for her kibbles, and following daily rhythms. She's now comfortable using a halti and does best with calm, consistent handling. Fifi can easily befriend other dogs with slow, gentle socialization. Ultimately she's looking for a home without cats. On walks, she can be a bit reactive, so she'll need a confident, understanding handler who can help her feel safe and supported. Her heart, though? Pure gold. A soft girl who loves peanut butter, apples, and cozying up with her people, Fifi is searching for someone patient and committed — someone who appreciates a loyal, quirky companion and the bond that comes with earning her trust. If you're ready for a snuggly sidekick with a goofy streak and a big heart, Fifi would love to meet you. 💛🐶

🌸 Meet Your Perfect Little Shadow Pup 🌸 This calm, loving little girl is the definition of a heart-stealer. She adores being close to her people and happily follows her humans from room to room — the ultimate shadow pup. She loves her daily sniff-ari's, chasing balls, playing with her toys, and then curling up for cozy snuggles once playtime is done. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy and calm companionship. She's fantastic with her fur foster brothers — plays sweetly, respects boundaries, and fits right in with canine friends. 🚗 Car Ride Champion! She travels beautifully in the car and almost instantly settles in for a snooze as soon as the wheels start turning. 🌙 Nighttime Pro She sleeps soundly in her crate overnight, typically waking only once for a quick potty break before heading right back to sleep. Daytime crating is a work in progress, and she's learning more each day. 🚪 Potty Training Progress Potty training is coming along nicely! She will go to the door to let you know she needs to go out — you just have to be quick 😉 If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will happily be by your side through every part of the day, this sweet girl might just be your perfect match. 💗

Meet Nicolas: Nicholas and his siblings were abandoned at just a few days old and have since spent a great deal of time in a loving foster home. His foster said that "Nicholas will steal your heart (and your socks!). He is the perfect blend of energetic adventurer and sweet cuddle bug. Whether he's chasing his favorite squeaky toy or curling up at your feet after a long play session, he just wants to be where the people are.Nicholas has shown some food resource guarding, specifically around his food bowl. While in the shelter, we have made good progress reducing this behavior through consistent, positive training; however, it is important that an adopter is willing and able to continue this work at home, as the behavior could return or worsen without reinforcement. This is especially important since Nicholas is expected to grow into a large dog, making unmanaged resource guarding more concerning. In the shelter, we address this by calmly interacting with his food during meals: adding high‑value treats to his bowl, briefly removing the bowl and replacing it with something better, or taking the bowl to add a treat before returning it. This is repeated several times per meal to help Nicholas learn that people near his food are a positive thing. The BC SPCA recommends working with an AnimalKind trainer if additional training support after adoption is desired.Due to his size and energy level, an active home without young children would set Nicholas up best for success.If you think Nicholas would be a good fit for your home, please come and meet him!Walk-ins are prioritized.We are open to walk in's Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays).In order to prepare for your visit, you can submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire as well at;https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 12.78 Age: 0yrs 3mths 0wks
