Story
Hi, my name is Cheerios and here is a little info about me:Breed: German Shepherd mixAge: 2 ½ years oldGender: MaleWeight: 30 kgHeight: 70 cm heightCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: friendly, gentle, kid-friendly, loving, social, energetic A courageous boy with an incredible story of resilience. Cheerios truly lives up to his name. A social fellow who gets along well with other dogs and kids. He demonstrates his sweet and friendly nature to everyone he meets.Cheerios story is one of triumph over adversity. He was found in a dire situation, suffering from malnourishment, skin problems, wounds and infection. Although Cheerios faced a difficult, uphill battle, he was rescued by compassionate souls who provided care and love throughout his recovery. Cheerios received extensive medical intervention that ultimately healed his wounds, allowed him to trust and turn his life around. The final leg of his recovery journey is finding a forever home where he will feel safe and loved. His temperament is proof of his spirit and soul – loving, sweet, friendly, gentle and motivated to be the best boy. Loves treats and kisses (already knows “sit” and “down” for treats)!Cheerios would do best in a home where he can be given support and direction with his energy, strength, and desire to please his humans. Including him in activities with both humans and other animals will allow him to remain social and continue to build trust and security in that he is safe and loved. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2123867##

Story
Ripley is full of energy and ready to give all his love to a forever family! Rip came to us quite underweight and is currently on a refeeding plan by the vet to bring him up to a healthy weight before being neutered. Ripley is hoping to find a home that can follow a stringent refeeding plan to help him gain his weight back in a healthy way and needs lots of snuggles in between. He is available for Foster-to-Adopt and will be fully adoptable once he can be neutered at a healthy weight. This playful boy has also lived with other dogs before so may enjoy a few canine friends in his life. If you feel you may be a good fit for this loving guy, please submit an online application or reach out to the Abbotsford centre with any questions!** PLEASE NOTE ** Dog meets and adoptions are by appointment only. To secure an adoption meet, please submit an online application and a staff member will reach out. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 18.9 Age: 4yrs 0mths 2wks
