Story
Hi everyone, I am the masterful Maddox (Max) and here's some information about me: Age:  1 year 6 monthsBreed: Shepherd/Rottweiler crossGender: Male Weight: 80 lbsHeight: 24 inches I am a high energy, smart dog, who loves to learn! Did you see my graduation picture? Some may call me a lifelong learner! Due to my age, I need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. My perfect home would have an active lifestyle where I could join you on various activities. I am both crate and leash trained and  have also completed PetSmart's obebience course.  I have so much love to share and can't wait to learn more with you! Even though I can get quite excitable, I do follow cues well and calm down after a while. I can be quite vocal when playing with other dogs, but I am not aggressive. Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: Completed obedience trainingLeash skills: YesHouse trained: YesHealth notes: I have been neutered and fully vaccinated My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.   ##2601550##

Story
Meet Minnow, a 6 year old, 55 pound German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her sweet personality. 😍 This beauty is equal parts cuddly companion and quirky entertainer and she's ready to charm her way into a forever home. Minnow is wonderfully smart, affectionate and eager to please - especially when treats are involved. 😁 She enjoys her walks (with a little excited pep at first) but settles beautifully and listens well when you have a tasty reward in hand. 😋 She's fully potty trained, hasn't needed a crate in ages and is a great housemate who loves lounging around and relaxing by your side. She's not a chewer, though she will volunteer as your personal countertop inspector if snacks are left out. 🙃 Minnow is good with older children and adores being doted on with belly rubs, scratches and snuggles. When it comes to other dogs, she prefers to keep her circle small....she can be reactive around medium to large dogs, but once she knows a dog well, she's quite indifferent. She can be protective of her food so a bit of continued guidance around mealtimes will help her feel comfortable and confident. Minnow has a high prey drive so she would not be suitable for a home with cats. Her special quirks make her truly unforgettable: she loves stretching out in the grass like a sunbathing pancake, has an adorable "singing voice" she proudly shares when an ambulance goes by and can impressively balance along raised platforms like a four-legged acrobat. Minnow also loves treats (even veggies) and makes a cheerful, ever-hopeful sous-chef in the kitchen. ☺️ Minnow would thrive in a home where she can be your loyal walking buddy, couch companion and kitchen helper. With her big personality, soft heart and endless charm, Minnow is ready to bring joy, laughter and lots of love to a family who will treasure her!

Story
Meet Lexi - formally known as Lexington when she's feeling fancy - the brilliant, ball-chasing, cookie-detecting queen of fun! 🎾🍪This gorgeous gal has brains and personality. She knows all her basics, plus a perfect paw-shake... and, uh, she can also open lever door handles. (We do not recommend playing hide-and-seek unless you enjoy losing. 😂)Lexi is happiest as the one and only hound of the household - she's a "spoil me, love me, worship me" type of girl, and honestly? She deserves it. She can coexist with dog-savvy cats who understand that she is, in fact, the main character. While Lexi tends to bond most quickly with women, she's absolutely open to making friends with calm, gentle men who understand the art of winning a dog's trust (hint: cookies help). This adventure-loving superstar is equally thrilled to blaze trails outdoors or flop dramatically onto the couch for snuggle time with her people. She's the perfect balance of explorer + couch-goblin.Health-wise, she does have allergies, but they're easily managed with a special diet and a monthly injection - no fuss, no stress, just smooth sailing for this lovely lady.If you're looking for a smart, hilarious, affectionate, door-opening adventure buddy who will keep you laughing every single day, Lexi is your girl.Ready to meet the legend that is Lexington? 💛🏡https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Lexi, spayed female, Shepherd X, 5 years, ID# 528093 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Cream Weight: 37.2 Age: 5yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
A bit about Obi- Likes meeting new people- Okay with children- he is selective about his dog friends, may be best as the only dog in the house- Not good with cats.Obi is a loyal, affectionate companion who loves being close to his people. He thrives on togetherness, enjoys learning new things, and is more than happy to follow you from room to room. He's also an A+ snuggler-his favorite moments are spent curled up under a shady tree while you read, watch the clouds, or enjoy a cozy nap together.Obi does like to use his voice and will bark (loudly!) when he hears or sees something interesting. Because of this, he hasn't been successful in homes where he shares a wall with neighbors. He knows some basic commands and is eager to please, though he is strong and sometimes uses his size to get his way. He's currently a bit on the plump side, so a healthy diet and some extra activity will do him well. With his strength, smarts, loyalty, and snuggly personality, Obi will make a wonderful partner for an active person or family who also appreciates slow, lazy afternoons together. Please fill out our pre-adoption questionnaire (linked below) if you would like to know more about Obihttps://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 55.6 Age: 5yrs 0mths 1wks
