Story
Meet Timber! 🐾Timber is an adorable 8‑month‑old Husky/Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is very people‑friendly and absolutely loves attention-whether that's snuggling up with his favorite humans or engaging in a fun play session.Timber has shown mixed responses to other dogs; he seems to enjoy the company of some while not quite clicking with others. Shelter staff are continuing to observe his social skills, and things may change after his neuter. For now, Timber would likely thrive best as the only animal in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention. This smart young dog is eager to learn and is already working on his manners with shelter staff. He currently knows sit and shake a paw, and with his enthusiasm and willingness to please, he has great potential to keep learning. Timber has a playful, energetic side-he loves doing zoomies in the yard and can't get enough of playing in the snow!Timber would do well in an active home that can give him plenty of exercise, continued training, and affection. If you're looking for a fun, loving companion who's ready to grow and learn with you, Timber might just be your perfect match. 💙❄️🐕 Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 25.1 Age: 0yrs 8mths 3wks

Story
Say hello to Zena, the 8‑month‑old shepherd/husky mix with one blue eye and a whole lot of personality. She can be a little shy, but warms up quickly with gentle pets and tasty treats. Zena is a belly‑rub enthusiast, a professional attention‑soaker, and has shown us that she walks quite well on a leash so far! Zena is a very smart girl with lots of energy. She would benefit greatly from a securely fenced yard where she can get her energy out. Important to note, her yard time should be supervised as she has shown some escape artist tendencies! She can be a bit nervous around small kids and sudden movements, so she's looking for a calm, predictable home where she can blossom at her own pace. She gets along well with other dogs and might enjoy a confident canine buddy to show her the ropes. Cats? Well... she hasn't told us her opinion yet.If you're patient, experienced, and ready to help a shy girl discover her inner superstar, Zena is ready to be your loyal sidekick.Do you think you could be Zena's person? Here is how to find out:1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.)Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 24.2 Age: 0yrs 8mths 1wks

**Available for foster to adopt local to the South Okanagan area while they await their spay/neuter procedures**These large-breed puppies are looking for committed, active homes that understand the time and structure needed to help them grow into well-adjusted adult dogs. As with all young dogs, they will require ongoing socialization to new people, environments, and experiences, along with consistent house training and leash training. Early guidance is especially important for larger breeds, as their size and strength make good manners essential. We strongly recommend that adopters continue their training journey with a qualified professional, such as an AnimalKind trainer, to build a solid foundation and set both puppy and family up for long-term success. These puppies will thrive in homes that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and positive engagement-families who enjoy outdoor activities and are prepared to keep an energetic, growing dog active and busy. With the right commitment and structure, these puppies have the potential to become loyal, well-behaved companion. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 17.75 Age: 0yrs 3mths 0wks
