Story
Meet Keiko (pronounced Kay-Ko),These sweet puppies have just arrived in our care and are ready to find their forever homes! They are German Shepherd/Lab/Bernese/Mastiff mixes, which means they will be very large dogs! We estimate they could grow to be 90-110 lbs. Life with puppies is joyful, messy, and full of motion. They're in the classic puppy chaos stage - exploring everything with their mouths, bouncing from playtime to nap time in seconds, and occasionally forgetting which items are toys and which are not. Families should be prepared for normal puppy behaviors like chewing, zoomies, and the occasional accident as they grow and learn. Interested applicants should be ready to begin house training, establish routines, and guide them through all the basics that young puppies need to thrive. These pups are also at a crucial age for socialization. They're meeting new people, hearing new sounds, and discovering what the world has to offer. Positive exposure to friendly dogs, gentle handling, and new environments will help them grow into confident, well adjusted adults. Puppy classes or structured positive reinforcement training programs are strongly encouraged, especially given their future size and strength. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, these puppies will blossom into loyal, affectionate companions. If you are ready to welcome a new (and large) family member into your life, come down and meet them in person! Please note: For puppies, we prioritize in person applications. Adoption hours are 12-3, Tuesday-Sunday (closed on Mondays). Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Brindle Weight: 8.5 Age: 0yrs 0mths 11wks

Story
Hey Chilliwack! What's up, people? I've heard this place is amazing, so when nobody claimed me up in Quesnel after I was found wandering the streets, I said, "Put me on the next transfer south!" And here I am, ready to make an entrance.I'm Greg, a 1-year-old German Shepherd. That's the good news. The not-so-good news? Let's just say I'm the opposite of well-behaved. I jump, I pull, and I've got energy for days. But hey, don't let that scare you off-I'm smart, loyal, and ridiculously handsome. I just need what I never got before: a confident, calm environment and someone who's ready to give me the training I deserve. If you're up for the challenge (and trust me, the reward will be worth it), fill out an application and let the awesome folks here make the rest happen. So, what do you say? Ready to turn this rebel into your ride-or-die?*Please note - Dog meets are by appointment only. If you are interested in meeting Greg, the first step is to complete your online application. Staff will contact the approved applicant to discuss further. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 28.7 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks

She will benefit from continued training and confidence-building through positive socialization. She will require direct outdoor access to help with all her energy! If you're looking for a fun, affectionate dog who's ready for adventure and eager to learn, Olive may be the perfect match for you!Do you think you could be Olive's person? Here is how to find out:Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters! Story
Meet Susie - A Sweet Soul Ready for a Fresh StartSusie hasn't had the easiest journey. Her life so far has been marked by change and uncertainty, without the consistency and security every dog deserves. But despite it all, she's never lost her gentle spirit and loving heart. This beautiful girl is eager to please and absolutely adores being around people. Whether it's snuggling on the couch, following you from room to room, or simply sitting nearby, Susie is happiest when she's with her humans. She craves connection and thrives on attention-she just wants to love and be loved in return.Susie does have some allergies, so she's on a strict hypoallergenic diet to help keep her healthy and comfortable. With the right food and care, she feels her best and is able to enjoy life to the fullest. What Susie needs now is a calm, stable home with a patient and consistent owner who can show her what it means to feel truly safe and cherished. With kindness, routine, and a little time, she's sure to blossom into the loyal and loving companion she was always meant to be.If you're someone who believes in second chances and has the heart to help a deserving dog heal and thrive, Susie might just be your perfect match. If you think Susie Q could be your perfect match, please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 35.5 Age: 3yrs 9mths 1wks
