Story
Chanell is a sweet, young, athletic, loyal and extremely intelligent companion for you. She is less than 3 years old, potty trained, recently spayed and up to date with her vaccinations. She has had flea and heartworm medications. She follows commands and intuitively understands what is expected of her. Unleashed she comes on command. She sits and shakes. Within 2 days of being introduced to her new foster home she learned to tap the bell to tell her foster that she needed to go potty. Chanell loves to play with balls and chewing on cheeses. She loves to play fetch at the park and is friendly to strangers and other dogs. At home she can be mellow and is content to chew on her ball while sitting next to her human. Chanell will also protect your home. She was saved by Ruff Day Rescue from being euthanized at the Stanislaus shelter. What a fantastic girl to add to your family!

Story
Introducing Zeus, a big and beautiful 100# German shepherd who wants nothing more than to chill at home with his humans. Despite his large size, Zeus would even be happy in an apartment setting with regular walks, as he's generally very low energy in the home. Unfortunately NO kitties, and likely to small animals (small dogs are OK), Zeus is extremely cat reactive. Zeus would be happy as an only dog but also plays very well with others, people are his real priority! Zeus knows sit, and shake (sometimes lol), and will walk on a loose lead as long as he's wearing his gentle leader, which will come home with him! Zeus is crate trained, and even went through nearly two months of crate rest after a surgery complication with no fuss. Besides cats Zeus is totally non reactive, and won't bark at passing cars or barking dogs, but as is normal for his breed he wants to protect his family and will bark if an unfamiliar human is in his yard unaccompanied. Make sure he sees you with someone or are there to introduce and he loves everyone! Zeus has also shown signs that he LOVES kids, despite not having any in the home, seeing them walk down the street or seeing them on walks he is desperate to say hi, and will very calmly let them pet him all over. If you want a calm, happy-go-lucky gentle giant, look no further than Zeus!

Story
Reba is a very sweet, active, and energetic girl. We found her at the Dublin shelter, where she had been for 5.5 months. They thought she was having seizures. We've finally been able to get her in to UC Davis for a neurological exam. Her "episodes" are not seizures. It seems she has some damage or deficit in her cerebellum, we think she was possibly grazed by a car. She has these "episodes" intermittently, and after resting for about 5 mintues, she is good to go again. No medications or treatments needed. Other than that, she is very healthy and loves to fetch and run. She will sit and wait for her food or for her crate door to be opened. She would make a great walking or running companion. She’s great with animals that won’t run from her. She gets along with our older small dogs and would play well with another dog her size or bigger. She’s looking for a home of her own and her own person, where she can get attention and exercise and love. Will you be her person? Please contact us if you'd like to ask any questions and/or meet Reba!

Story
💕🐶💕MEET RULA!💕🐶💕 Rula is the PERFECT dog! She is just a delight and is a very loyal companion. She is sweet, gentle, loving, well-behaved, and very adaptable to different situations. She's a happy girl, who just wants to love and be loved. She has bonded well with her human foster parents, and learned quickly to coexist with the other large breed dogs in our home. Rula loves her walks in the park, playing with her squeaky toys, and chasing around a pickle ball in the backyard! Rula came to us after spending 3 years in a maintenance yard, tied on a pulley system with very little human contact. Given that, she has shown nothing short of stellar behavior in our home with our other 3 large breed dogs. She knows "sit", "give a paw", and "stay". When given affection, she will often lay on her side, or go belly up for rubs and love. Rula's ideal home is one where she gets plenty of exercise by way of daily walks with her humans, car rides, trips to the park, and a yard in which to run. She would also do best in a home with another dog of her size or breed that she can play with to really get her energy out. She has had some leash training but will benefit from continued leash work… since she is generally very obedient and intelligent, that should not take a lot of time for her to learn. Rula's specs: Female, spayed, vaccinated, 4 years old. German Shepard/Siberian Husky mix. She eats well, has no food or any other type of aggression, and is generally quite healthy. She is also very quiet. She has only barked a handful of times... and that was in excitement of seeing another dog playing. She is not cat-safe, and has mild prey drive toward small animals, such as squirrels. Small dog safety has yet to be thoroughly tested, though she does not react strongly to them, as long as they are at a distance. She has no experience with children so best her new family does not have children under 7 yrs of age. For adoption information please contact us Rhodiesrescue@gmail.com
