Story
Caramel is an energetic, loving, and active 9 month old puppy. She loves playing with other dogs, running around, and interacting with people. She’s good with kids and other dogs but has a habit of jumping up and being a little mouthy. She is used to being with her sister and parents. She has only known them and unfortunately we aren’t able to keep them altogether due to a family emergency requiring us to move states. We would love for her to go to a house with a family who wants to love and care for her, will play with her, that possibly has other dogs and kids that will keep her active so that she can have a long healthy life. If you’d like to keep her and her sister together we’d be happy to rehome them together! She knows sit, stay, and come as well as crate trained. We will also provide shot records for the vet *Price negotiable on a time frame*

Story
Summer is a very relaxed and affectionate 9 month old puppy. She loves to play and run around sometimes but can be shy and nervous preferring to be alone as well. She loves to cuddle and can be stubborn, not listen even when she knows her commands well. She tends to be dominant over her food and other dogs but doesn’t cause any harm. She has only lived with her sister and parents. She has only known them and unfortunately we aren’t able to keep them altogether due to a family emergency requiring us to move states. Story
Taz is the ultimate adventure dog ready to go out on hikes or hang out at the bar with you. Taz has gone on hikes in the Sierras and hung out at his local dog-friendly brewery and made for a great companion. He loves car rides and long walks or runs. Check out Taz's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwmrJ7jIwM1VvhkGdyx2X9Ci In terms of training, Taz is still working on building some confidence. He can be a little fearful with new experiences, people and loud noises. That said, he warms up well with a confident handler. Taz is house-trained and crate-trained. Taz is a good walking companion and can loose-leash walk. He is a fantastic dog who loves training and is easily redirected even when he is getting a little naughty. Taz has some herding instincts and would do best in a home familiar with this behavior. He is responding very well to training. Taz has met other dogs at dog parks and has done well. He does not currently live with children or cats so we are unsure as to how he would do with either. He does have prey drive towards small animals such as squirrels (as most dogs do). Taz loves kisses, squeaky toys, antlers, and kong toys. He is moderate energy where he can keep up for a 3 mile run but also is happy to chill on the couch with you. He is a great dog and eager to make a connection with you. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary private or group training as needed to help ensure a successful adoption. If you are interested in meeting Taz to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, a Better World Rescue volunteer will reach out within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
**Julius is currently in a board and train for basic obedience, and will be well-trained for his forever home** Hi I’m Julius, and my foster mom says I’m very cute, sweet and cuddly, but also still very much an energetic pup who needs to learn some manners, but we are working on it!! Check out my video playlist! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwmaayP3fyi24mpj4iyqlji1 Julius was saved from the euthanasia list at Stanislaus Shelter. Now in foster care, Julius has been getting some much needed love and attention. Julius loves to play with his toys and cuddle, he is also known to give kisses when he is particularly happy. Julius has done well with both male and female dogs as well as dog savvy cats in the household with slow introduction of course. Julius also tolerates full body touching, paw holding, ear and tail touching. Julius has so far gotten along with all cats or dogs he has met. He is also such a good boy in the car and has done great on long car rides. Due to Julius’s life as a stray and his time at the shelter, he will need someone who is able to spend time and patience working on his training and allow him to decompress and slowly introduce him to a new space. Julius is a very excitable and high energy dog but also very smart. In the short time he has been in foster he has learned sit, down, off and paw. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training sessions to help ensure a successful adoption. Julius is diligently working on recall and leash etiquette, while he still pulls on walks he is becoming easier and easier to correct as he gets used to proper walking. Julius is also being crate trained, while he is still vocal at times and would rather be with his human he is adjusting and sleeping through the night in his crate. Julius is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you would like to meet Julius to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short, commitment-free adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will reach out within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
Sierra is about 3 months old. She was recently adopted from the San Jose animal shelter. She is about 22 lbs currently and will probably be a big dog. The shelter estimated she was 9 weeks old but the vet and people who have seen her estimate she is about 12-14 weeks old. She came into the shelter underweight and found on the streets with her littermates. Unfortunately my family member that was going to help me care for her is extremely allergic and I can't raise this puppy by myself with my work schedule. Sierra will do best in an active home. She is energetic, playful, and loves attention. She does great in car rides and falls asleep after a few minutes. She's been doing good with house training and sleeps through the night. She has learned sit, and come, and is working on learning stay. She is still working on crate training, she doesn't want to be left behind(seperation anxiety), so we have been taking crate training very slowly. She is an amazing puppy with tons of potential.

Story
Meet Reba, our longest foster dog in rescue!! I can’t believe this sweet, active, goofy and energetic girl hasn’t found her forever home yet. We found her at the Dublin shelter, where she had been for 5.5 months. They thought she was having seizures. We've finally been able to get her in to UC Davis for a neurological exam. Her "episodes" are NOT seizures. It seems she has some damage in her cerebellum, we think she was possibly grazed by a car. She has these "episodes" intermittently, and after resting for about 5 mintues, she is good to go again. No medications or treatments needed. Other than that, she is very healthy and loves to fetch and run. She will sit and wait for her food or for her crate door to be opened. She would make a great walking or running companion. She’s great with other dogs! She gets along with our older small dogs and would play well with another dog her size or bigger. She’s looking for a home of her own and her own person, where she can get attention and exercise and love and a little bit of patience. Will you be her person? Please contact us if you'd like to ask any questions and/or meet Reba!

Story
Chanell is a sweet, young, athletic, loyal and extremely intelligent companion for you. She is less than 3 years old, potty trained, recently spayed and up to date with her vaccinations. She has had flea and heartworm medications. She follows commands and intuitively understands what is expected of her. Unleashed she comes on command. She sits and shakes. Within 2 days of being introduced to her new foster home she learned to tap the bell to tell her foster that she needed to go potty. Chanell loves to play with balls and chewing on cheeses. She loves to play fetch at the park and is friendly to strangers and other dogs. At home she can be mellow and is content to chew on her ball while sitting next to her human. Chanell will also protect your home. She was saved by Ruff Day Rescue from being euthanized at the Stanislaus shelter. What a fantastic girl to add to your family!

Story
Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie currently lives with another large dog and gets along well with her. She will even snap at him sometimes and he will not really react. He simply wants to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Obie, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.
