Skin so inflamed and uncomfortable that you can tell he’s been fighting infections for a long time. His little body is tired. His coat is patchy and sore. His eyes are irritated and rolled inward. His ears are painful. There’s even a large mass hanging from his chest. He looks neglected. Like life has not been kind to him. But when I met him? No aggression. Not a single growl. Not a snap. Not even a bark. Just a stiff, unsure older shepherd mix standing there in the cutest little green jacket, like he was quietly hoping someone would finally see him. He took treats gently. He allowed touch. He was cautious, yes. Shut down. Overwhelmed. But staff even told me they have not seen aggression from him. ##2663067##

Now, barely over 1 year old, Jack is facing euthanasia. He has been affectionate and friendly with some staff, unsure with others. He needs time, patience, and training from his new foster: We are still getting to know each other but he loves kids, but can get overexcited sometimes. He has also been around our other pets and is very curious about making new friends. So far he has made friends with a kitty, another doggie and a bunny. Jack is a very sweet boy and he hasn’t had any potty accidents and is learning to sit, stay and walk on a leash and is loving it! : Hi my name is Jack! I am 1 1/2 years old and love to play. Did you say balls or was that a squeaky toy that I heard? I am looking for my new best friend do you have an opening in your heart and in your home? Some new things can be a little scary but once I warm up, I will ask for lots of belly rubs and snuggles. Babies are also a lot of fun! They drop lots of treats on the floor and have faces to clean. Porsche is a spayed fawn and brown Germ Shepherd. Porsche came into the shelter on 01/21/2026 as a return. She is about 1 years and 7 months old. The adopter put her in the backyard with his Sheepadoodle within hours of bringingg her home which is a big no no especially after just leaving the shelter, and a fight ensued. The other dog sustained a single puncture wound. It is unclear which animal insitgated the fight. Porsche had nothing but positive notes at the shelter. She was described as friendly, attention-seeking, obedient, and sweet. She enjoyed squeaky toys and playing fetch (but mostly just preferred to sit and chew on the ball)! The adopter said she enjoyed car rides and added that she was jumpy and energetic. She jumped the fence and escaped the yard on one occasion. Porsche was kept crated according to return notes. Dog loves toys, takes quickly and squeezes them repeatedly when toy has squeaker inside of it. Sweet, comes when called by name. High energy when out of the kennel, but calms down in the yard. Was very fixated on the ball in the yard. Likes fetch, but enjoys laying down and chewing on the ball more. Knows sit and down. ##2648218##
