Story
Hi there! My name is Lucy and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I'm a 5 year old, female German Shepherd who enjoys long walks on the beach and snuggles with my person! I came from an active home with kids, so if you're looking for an addition to your pack, I should fit right in! I like chasing cats and birds, so if you have either of those, I probably wouldn't be a great fit. Other than that, I do very well on walks and I'm not bothered by other dogs but would do best as the only dog in the home. I know how to "sit" and "stay" and I'm eager to learn more! I love bringing my toy to you to show off too. Staff here has been working very hard to help me be the best girl around. I am house trained and I am friendly to everyone I meet. My ideal home would be one that is very active and has lots of time to spend with me throughout the day. A family that is going to continue my training cause I love to work and show off how smart I am! Come say hi, I'd love to meet you! Also, when will you ever get another chance to say "Lucyyyy I'm hoomee!" and actually have a reason to say it!? Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!

Story
Reggie is a medium to high-energy pup who adores frolicking with other dogs and is comfortable around smaller ones. While he may show a bit too much interest in neighborhood cats, he`s a ball-loving, potty-trained sweetheart who doesn`t mind dental care and enjoys a good brush. Crate trained and intelligent, Reggie makes an excellent travel companion in the car.

Story
Would you like a giant, furry friend who is content to warm your spot on the couch when you are away and then let you know that you are the most amazing and special person in the world when you come home? While not a guard dog, as Bob makes friends with strangers quite easily, he does have a big, intimidating presence that is just enough to keep any shady riff raff out. What would Bob like from you in exchange for keeping your spot warm, adoring you on a daily basis and keeping the peace in your home and yard? Well, he likes to chase a ball around the yard. He likes having a stuffed animal to carry around. He really likes being with you as much as you'll let him and of course some good quality food, keeping up on his vet checks and a nice soft bed (a spot on yours is even better in his book, but he'll happily stay on his own if you prefer). Bob is really just a great dog that recently suffered the loss of his family. We're trying to help Bob put his world back together. Let us know if you want to meet this big, lovable lug.

Lotus is still waiting for her forever homes, but since she was a guest on KSBY as our pets of the month we hope her new people will find her! Also, as our special highlighted dog, her adoption fee is HALF OFF! Lotus knows basic obedience, listens well, loves people time, and most dogs who match her personality. She will thrive in a home with a couple or family with older kids where she will receive daily walks, outings, and even some brain games because she is very smart!

Koa is a fun big guy looking for his forever home! He knows his basic obedience commands like sit, down, come. Koa loves to play fetch and show off his hand shake, especially if you have some treats for him! Out on walks Koa enjoys smelling the grass and does not pull too strong. He would probably do best as the only dog in the home, but may be able to befriend the right dog with some time and patience. Call 805-781-4400 to make an appointment to meet Koa today!

Story
Hi! My name is Onyx. I am a big, beautiful, male German Shepherd mix. I have a lovey gait and a beautiful fluffy tail. I am really something, if I do say so myself. There is something so regal about me. You can`t tell it from my photo where I am sitting on some dude`s foot - so maybe I have a doofy side too! I have some drive, but not for fetch. Mostly I like to hang out with my people - a well know German Shepherd trait. I would love an active home - walks, runs maybe even bike? I am smart too. So maybe dog sports, if that is your game. I do have a history or chasing livestock and not in a friendly way so a home with secure fencing and not goats to catch my interest is a must. Please come out to San Luis Obispo Animal Services to meet me. You will not be disappointed! 885 Oklahoma Ave SLO between 1-5 Monday through Saturday. Or call for an appointment 805 781 4400
