Story
I'd like to introduce you to Jade... a tennis ball enthusiast, kiddie pool connoisseur, professional sunbather, and loyal best friend all wrapped up in one beautiful German Shepherd.Jade is 6 years old and spent nearly her entire life with one family before they made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her when they had to move into a rental with no fenced yard and breed restrictions. It wasn't the ending anyone wanted, but now she's hoping for a fresh start. This girl absolutely loves being outside. Throw a ball, fill up a kiddie pool, and you've officially planned her perfect day. Even though she'd rather be outside soaking up the sunshine, she's housebroken and kennel trained, making her an easy companion indoors, too. She even recently had a dental, so her smile is sparkling and ready to win you over.Like many German Shepherds, Jade takes protecting her home seriously. She's not a fan of lawnmowers or unfamiliar workers entering her space, and she does need to be muzzled for veterinary visits. Because of this, she'd do best with a breed-savvy, adult-only home that understands her boundaries and will help her feel safe and secure. With the people she knows and loves, though, she's all sweetness, playtime, and unwavering loyalty. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will happily chase tennis balls all afternoon and be your shadow through life's adventures, Jade is ready to meet you. ❤️Requirements: Martingale Collar; No ChildrenAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
🐾 Meet Pippin 🐾Pippin’s story began with heartbreak. She was found rummaging through a garbage can, simply trying to fill her belly. We may never know what she went through before arriving at H.A.L.O., but one thing is certain: she’s a survivor, and she’s ready for a fresh start. At just 2 years old, Pippin is still very much a young dog. She likely missed out on some of the guidance and socialization puppies typically receive, so she’s looking for a family willing to invest in her and help her continue to grow. With structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement, we know she’ll blossom into an incredible companion.Pippin recently spent some time in a home, where we learned a lot about her. She can be cautious around new people, especially men, and may bark when she’s feeling unsure. She isn’t being mean, she’s simply asking for a little patience. Slow introductions and the chance to settle into new people and environments make all the difference. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. She’s smart, curious, energetic, and absolutely loves to cuddle.Pippin has done well with other dogs, although she can be selective with some male dogs. We always introduce dogs before adoption to help ensure they’re a good match. She is looking for a cat-free home and would do best with children 5 years and older who can respect her space while she adjusts. While Pippin isn’t fully house-trained yet, she’s been keeping her kennel clean at the shelter and was doing her best during her time in a home. With a consistent routine and continued guidance, we think she’ll pick it up quickly.Pippin isn’t looking for perfection. She’s looking for someone willing to see her potential and give her the love, patience, and stability she’s always deserved. In return, she’ll give you unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and plenty of cuddles.Could Pippin be your next adventure buddy? 🐶💛Requirements: Martingale collar • Children 5 years and older • No catsAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Story
Ravyn is almost 5 years old. She has been a great dog for my daughter. But my daughter got married and just had a baby. Sadly we recently found out there are serious pet allergies and she can no longer have Ravyn living in the home. She is house broken but in full honesty since the baby came there have been some accidents. I think its a combo of Ravyn wanting attention and also there have been times my daughter was nursing etc and couldnt get her out fast enough. Ray weighs about 65lbs and is actually tiny for her breed. She was the smallest pup in her litter and is finished growing. Her shots were due in March but with the babys arrival etc they are behind. We are happy to pay for the shots for the new owner to bring her up to date. She is a playful dog and needs space and a yard. An apartment is not a good mix for her. Someone with prior German Shepard experience would be best. My daughter got her as a puppy so the only dogs she was ever around was the pups in the litter.

Story
Adopted her almost 3 years ago. Amazing dog, sadly she definitely isn’t the most compatible in a super busy household. I can tell she’s getting stressed with so many people around and soon I will likely need to move and it seems unfair to keep her in an apartment when I have to be at work constantly.
