Story
***Jasmine  is currently at our Tarrytown, GA location. Jasmine is a beautiful and spunky girl.  She was found as a stray at the local convenient store.  She appeared to be nursing but no pups could be found.  She was brought to the rescue and at first was anxious and fearful.  Over time, she has become used to her new home and befriended the staff.  She is kenneled next to other dogs without any issues, does not react to other dogs in the rescue we have not had her off leash with other dogs.  A meet and greet would be required for any home with another dog.   She loves to play in the yard and would be great for someone with an active lifestyle. Jasmine is spayed and is up to date on all vaccines.  She has been treated for heart worm and has documentation verifying completion of treatment.  Applications for adoption:  www.socorescue.com    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 3:06 pm

Story
KAI- is such a sweet boy. He’s a recent adoption that had been treated poorly by men in the past and doesn’t mix well with them. He’s needing a single woman that would love the cuddles and protection that Kai brings to the table. He loves to cuddle and play fetch (his absolute favorite). He’s been perfect for me and I’ll miss him so much!

Story
Meet Shadow, a 10 year old male purebred AKC German Shepard. Shadow is one of those fancy dogs who was flown here when he was a puppy and then sent to one of those fancy boarding obedience schools! Shadow is very well mannered and very well behaved. He gets along well with other animals, big and small. He gets along well with the humans, the big and small ones, as well. Shadow is a bit needy. He has some major food allergies and cannot have any chicken or beef. He has to be on a limited ingredient diet with salmon, lamb, sweet potato, and grain free. Otherwise, he gets a terrible skin yeast infection. He also has a very large cyst on his hip that we believe to be a large lipoma. It doesn't seem to bother him or effect him in any way. He is beginning to develop cataracts in his eyes. BUT, none of this stops this big boy! His bark is still deep and fierce and he still loves to play! And whatever you do, DO NOT say the word "squirrel"! He will tear up the nearest tree trying to get it!

*Courtesy Listing*Name: RiverBreed: German ShepherdSex/Age/Weight: Female/estimated DOB 07-2022/64 lbsVetting: Up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly preventives House trained/Crate trained: Yes/YesDogs/Cats/Children: River would require a meet and greet with other dogs. River would do best in a home without cats. River hasn't been observed around children but can be tested upon requestMy History: On July 3rd, 2026, I was surrendered to the vet's office with my sister to be euthanized because my "owner", who had us since we were eight weeks old, decided that he was going to move and not take us with him. The vet asked for help, and this lady saved us. Unfortunately, we've been in boarding since July 3rd because we are still searching for a foster or adopter. Ideal Family/Home: We are looking for a foster or adopter who is experienced with this breed, and who will be committed to maintaining her training and helping her build confidence. River was never given the training or guidance she needed, so she lacks confidence and will need continued structure and training to help her become the amazing dog we know she can be.If you would like to adopt or foster River, please send us a message!
