Togo came to us from Wichita Animal Shelter. He was listed as a stray and on the euthanasia list. We previously adopted Togo out to a family who invested in his training. He has been a model dog for their family. However, they needed to move and were forced to make a decision to return Togo to us. Togo is a GSD/Husky/possibly Malamute mix. True to his GSD side, he is loyal and intelligent. The Husky brings out the drama and escape artist. The Malamute, his calm, aloof, but headstrong nature. He knows how to sit and lay down. He has been working hard to walk on a leash nicely and to limit his jumping. His quirks: He is a jumper and can clear a 6ft fence. He is a big boy and will knock you over if you aren’t prepared, so small children may be a risk. Togo needs to be in with a family and spoiled rotten. If you are interested in a lifetime of devotion, Togo is your guy.

This handsome guy has the perfect mix of energy and heart, not to mention good looks, too! He is dog and people friendly, always eager to make new friends he has done particularly well at doggie daycare even! Tony is still learning that not everyone on a walk needs a personal greeting, however with continued leash training, he will be a pro walking partner in no time! At home, Tony is loyal and well-mannered. He is house trained and knows his basic commands like sit, stay, down, and focus. He is not one for cuddling on the couch or sleeping in bed, he seems to prefer a snooze on the floor nearby. He would love a home with a 6 foot tall fenced in yard where he can run and play safely. This young boy has energy to spare and would thrive with an active family or with continued doggie daycare even. Tony has never shown aggression and tends to be more submissive with other dogs, he has not been introduced to cats or young children. Tony's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, and current vaccinations and preventatives. Hello my name is Ron or sometimes Ronald when I'm doing something I'm not supposed to :) I came up from Texas with my sister Ginny and my momma Molly. Our story was almost non existent, we were so close to being euthanized. But we were lucky and got transported to Iowa into the German Shepard rescue of Iowa! Ginny and I are now in a home with other foster sibling GSDs and foster sibling cats! I was a little worried about the cats at first and would bark and try to climb the cat tree to get them but since I've been here longer I don't care about them as much anymore. I really love to cuddle with my foster moms and play with my foster dog siblings. Im still trying to learn how to play so I still bark at them when they are playing together but I'm working on it! I don't have accidents in my kennel during the day and I'm almost potty trained! But when you adopt me I might have an adjustment period, so give me some time! I haven't been around kids but with training and the right introductions I think I would love them! I currently still sleep in a kennel with my sister at night because I'm not fully trustable out on my own yet. I eat regular dog food and love playing with toys! Could I be your next forever Best friend?!

Katie is a beautiful sable GSD with a gentle and loving spirit. She came to us with a history of multiple UTIs. We believe she has an ectopic ureter (congenital defect) which is easily corrected with surgery. Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids accepted Katie into their program. Katie gets along very well with other dogs. She has 2 foster brothers and a foster sister to make sure she continues to get along. We are not sure about cats, but based on her history of chasing chickens, we would be wary of placing her in a home with cats. Please keep an eye out on Katie. We will update as her care progresses.
