Ginger is looking for a clean slate in life This sweet girl was found by a local shelter wandering the streets alone. Unfortunately she was shutting down in the shelter and not doing well. We brought her into rescue and gave her a chance in a foster home. Her history is unknown, but we do believe she was not treated well. While she looks very much like a German Shepard she is def a mix as she has a smaller petite stature and is only 60lbs.  Ginger is very smart girl who appreciates lots of attention. She us the epitome of a velcro dog to the woman of the house. She knows commands and listens well to "come", "sit", "down" and no. She absolutely loves tennis balls and bones to chew on. Once you've earned her love and trust she will let you get her ball and throw it for her in the yard. Overall she prefers to be indoors and doesn't seem to be very familiar with being outdoors.  She does behave fearful around men ad requires slow introduction with men sitting down. While she could warm up to a man in the home its clear she trusts women most of all and is seeking a woman as a primary caregiver. Ginger is very much the jealous and is not interested in sharing her human with other dogs. For this reason we ask that Ginger be the only pet. She does have a prey drive and will chase small animals that run from her.  Ginger loves her current foster mom with her whole heart and we know she will make the best companion to the right home. She will offer cuddles in bed all night, and comfort you as much as you do her. She is no sense of personal space and will climb right up on your lap. She is the sweetest soul that escaped a rough past. Could you be her second chance?  ##2757513##

Bo is a purebred German Shepherd. He will turn 7 years old in November. He is fixed. He is good with kids. I have a 6 year old and 6 month old. I have a little dog but never really had him around other dogs. He has a mean bark but has never tried to bite another dog or person. He was a rescue when I got him and was abused. He has always been scared/nervous. I think he would do best with a female as his owner and being the only dog. He does get jealous easily. Bo is kennel trained and is put in his kennel when I'm not home. He likes to lay in it when I am home ( I keep it open). He is protective over me when out he will bark at others and pulls when walking. He can only have chicken based food and I usually put a little broth on top. I've used a kennel service before with him and he barks and seems aggressive at first just new atmosphere/smells once I am gone they've always said he's very sweet. I just want him to be loved and cared for, a place to run/play. He loves little dog toys.

I am a huntress with a master's degree in squeaky toy thrills! A fair warning to the squirrels, stray cats, bunnies, and other live action squeaky toys that dare to think they stand a chance at escaping my game! It is important to me that a respectable bond is built between us. I know I am out-of-this-world beautiful but I prefer to be admired from a distance...at first. I am unapologetically selective about my entourage, but once you're in my loop of trust, say goodbye to your personal space and hello to my daybue of affection! Unwinding from a day of fun with some snuggles and tummy tickles is my idea of ultimate bliss! I would be best suited as the only pet in our life together, as sharing attention...or toys...or food...isn't really my strong suit. Moreover, someone experienced in canine lingo will be best equipped to understand my quirks. While its true that I am a little hard headed, my curious nature and intellect is the perfect blend of charm...occasionally too much for my own good. Story
My partner and I are looking to find a new home for our sweet girl, Nellie. We took her in about a year and a half ago from a very difficult situation where she was confined to a crate most of the day with little care. Since then, she’s grown into a loving, smart, and loyal dog who just wants to be close to her people. Nellie is about 2 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and we believe she is a German Shepherd/Pointer mix. She has completed training, knows commands like “place,” and loves staying active—whether it’s running outside, playing in water, or going for car rides. About six months after bringing her home, she developed resource guarding behaviors around food with our male dog. We worked with a trainer and saw improvement, but they will never be able to comfortably live together without strict management. Because of this, we believe Nellie would thrive best as the only pet. She deserves a home where she can fully relax, continue training, and be loved.

Seaba is a 3-year-old spayed female German Shepherd, about 60 lbs, who came to her family from a friend and originally from a breeder. She is playful, gentle, affectionate, smart and eager to learn, with lots of energy and a protective streak. She loves fetch, toys, walks, cuddling and belly rubs, and is house trained and knows sit, come and leave-it. She is cautious with strangers at first and not well socialized yet, and she can bark at strange dogs and get agitated at fences. She is fine living with cats and other familiar dogs. She pulls on leash and gets motion sick in the car. Seaba needs an active, experienced home that knows the breed or working dogs, has a fenced yard (she can jump up to 6 ft), and will train with her. She may enjoy herding. She is being rehomed because of an owner health crisis.
