Story
Shadow is a 2 yr old Long haired German Shepherd. Great with kids however prefer older kids if there are any just due to size and energy. I work and can not spend time with him he needs, my mother has cared for him however will not be able to continue to keep up with him. He is very affectionate, leary of strangers. Does not like crowds or loud noises like fireworks, however he is very outgoing..loves bijoring, Canicross and exploring parks and woods. Looking for a home where someone enjoys taking a K9 friend along on adventures and enjoys big goofy cuddles. He deserves more.

Story
Annie German shepherd-Golden retriever mix Spayed female 1 year old, 65 pounds Annie’s ideal new home will match her playful energy and reward her loyalty every day. She is accustomed to roaming the yard at will, but would thrive on more structured walks or light jogs to keep both her mind and muscles happy. Her current owner tells us that Annie adores belly rubs, enjoys snuggling in bed and tends to follow her person from room to room. She does fine around most dogs, but has not been exposed to children or cats, so proper introductions will be needed. Annie is kennel trained and house trained, but could use more help on her leash walking. She knows several commands, so her adopter will want to learn Annie’s vocabulary and keep practicing. With new people, she warms up slowly, but with consistency and patience, Annie has great potential. If you have a low-traffic home and an interest in meeting her, please complete one of our online applications. Application available at nebraskanokill.org Suggested adoption donation:  $300.00  September 4, 2025, 9:43 am
