Beautiful German Shepherd, 3–4 years old. Friendly with other dogs, loyal, and very protective of her home and loved ones. She may be cautious with new people at first but becomes playful and affectionate once she knows them. She needs patience, consistency, and lots of love. I found her a couple years ago when still a young puppy a little less than a year old, she was abandoned. I adopted her didn't know what to do first I ended up taking care of her I have more than 2 years with her now. I been thru really hard financial problems but I kept her. I move to a new house 1 year ago and now he wants her out and I have no money to move again.

Story
I've just arrived at the rescue again after being adopted over a year ago, and am still settling in. My volunteer friends are spending lots of time with me, getting to know my unique personality and helping me feel safe and comfortable. I am currently in boarding as a foster home has not been found for me yet. What We Know So Far • I'm learning the daily routine and making new friends. • My volunteer buddies are starting to see what makes me happy. • I was surrendered back to the rescue due to getting in a fight with the small senior dog in my home. I like to get in other dogs space and don't know boundaries... so when the other dog tried to set me straight, I retaliated and caused some punctures to the other dog. Based on this, I'd do best in a home with no other pets, or with a submissive dog who can handle my invasive play style. I'm excited to find my forever family and would love to tell you more about myself as mt reacue re-learns me.

🧡 Darla 🧡is such a doll! •Good with dogs (immediately comfortable with dogs smaller than her, take a second longer to warm up to larger dogs but did great with all once she gets her confidence) •Submissive Personality •Seems to be fine with cats! •Eager to learn •Quiet •Potty Trained •Does fantastic in a crate •LOVES toys •professional head tilter •She’s a little skittish/shy in general at first but quick to warm up She is a counter surfer, shoe thief/chewer - BUT she redirects REALLY well and will divert to a toy when told. She needs training as any puppy does but she will train really well as she is still so young. She responds very well to both verbal praises and treats! photos make her look bigger than she is, shes a great mid sized shep!

Story
Hello, my dog's name is Brownie. She is a 4 year old German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix. Brownie is a sweet girl. But, she can be nervous and overprotective. Brownie has a heart murmur. I already consulted with a cardiologist and had the ultrasounds done. She cannot get surgery, just daily medication to keep her heart healthy. It's only $16 a month. Brownie can be taken to doggy day care and doesn't mind the other dogs. But on walks, she can get protective when another big breed is walking by. Though, she doesn't care much for smaller breeds. We have 2 other dogs. Brownie is really smart, loyal and loving. It hurts my heart to give her up, but she deserves to be with someone that can give her the time she needs as she is a very active dog. Thank you for your time.

Story
Duke is 7 years old, his birthday is February 5th. He weighs about 80lbs. I adopted him from a shelter in Tyler Texas when he was 3 months old. I was told his mom was a border collie, and they believe his dad was a Dutch shepherd. Duke is very used to being around little kids. We have a baby and a toddler. Duke is so patient and gentle around them. He gets along with other dogs. He loves playing, loves cuddles, good pets and booty smacks, loves car rides and going for walks. He LOVES water, bubbles and balloons. Because Duke is so protective, he can exhibit temporary aggressive behaviors. We have noticed that if someone new comes over, we put him outside where he can see us interacting with the guest through the patio door. We leave him outside a few minutes and when we let him in, we tell the guest to just ignore Duke. Within minutes, Duke is nudging the guests hand asking for pets and they are now friends.

Story
Meet Corduroy: A One-of-a-Kind Companion Corduroy is thriving in his foster home and has truly come out of his shell. Once shy and shut down, he’s now a happy boy who just wants to soak up every ounce of love his humans can give. He’s a volunteer favorite, and it’s easy to see why—Corduroy lives for snuggles, affection, and simply being by your side. This special boy needs to be the one and only dog in the home. He’s had some issues with other dogs in the past, so his forever family must be committed to giving him all the love without any competition. He also does best in a home where someone is around more often than not—Corduroy craves companionship and will miss you when you’re gone. He can stay in a crate with no issues, just not all day long. Corduroy is fully obedience trained, loves to play catch, and will happily give you kisses. He’ll even place his paw gently in your hand, perfectly content just being close to you. A yard would be wonderful for him—whether for chasing a ball or just lounging in the sun. We at SNARL truly believe Corduroy is one of the most special dogs we’ve had in our care. He deserves a family who will embrace him for who he is—quirks and all—and give him the love he so deeply desires. Until that day, he’s enjoying foster life and waiting patiently for his forever family.
