Mandy was in a crowded kill shelter with her 10 puppies when we reached them all. All her pups have found homes but Mandy is still looking for her forever home. Mandy is a sweet girl that really wants a home of her own. She's great with other dogs but may not be good with cats. She's the youngest dog we have at our house and is bored with all her senior friends! She's really wants a playmate and a home to call her own. Mandy is crate trained, housebroken and fully vetted. "There is a gentleness in her eyes that I see. I hate to see healthy, non-aggressive animals euthanized". That was the email we received about weeks ago in regards to Eleanor. She was on her last day and no other rescue had stepped up to take her. We were really her last chance. 1 week later, and here she is with us. We named her after the finest car in "Gone in 60 Seconds". And, truly, if she got off her leash, she would be gone in about 0.6 seconds! Eleanor is painfully shy and scared but lets us love on her and doesn't try to get away. She does well in a crate. She needs work..lots of it, but in her eyes, we see hope too. She is not currently for adoption but can be sent to an experienced foster home. Reach out to us via email if you are interested in fostering Eleanor. She is a diamond in the rough.

Emma is a highly active girl requiring basic training, consistently enthusiastic to meet new individuals, extremely outgoing, and food motivated. Please note that Shepherds necessitate regular brushing and deshedding due to their undercoats. Adoption hours this week are Monday-Wednesday 11:00-3:30. The shelter will be closed from November 27-30 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you have another dog or kids at home, meet & greets are required.

Meet Stan! He’s a four-year-old German Shepherd looking for a new forever home. I very recently adopted him but found out someone in my home is allergic, so I’m sadly needing to rehome him. Stan is incredibly sweet, loyal, and playful. He loves running and playing fetch and enjoys being close to his person. He’s timid at first but once he warms up, he’ll follow you everywhere and even lay by the shower while you get ready. He’s very smart, well-mannered, and hasn’t tried getting on furniture (except I let him sleep in my bed a few nights) Stan does shed, but regular brushing makes it manageable. He’s good with other dogs that aren’t too pushy, and he’s been fine with cats that keep to themselves. He hasn’t been around kids yet, but I believe he’d adjust with time. He’s about 110 lbs and currently slimming down. He needs someone with dog experience and a fenced yard to run and burn energy. He truly is the best boy and deserves a loving, active home.

They checked for a microchip and she had none and they have been searching for her family and have not found them. Sandy looks to be a German shepherd mix. Sandy is a happy girl who likes other dogs and would enjoy a playmate to romp around with. She knows basic commands and walks pretty well on a leash. She likes to train for food and would love a family that would continue her training. Sandy loves to be near her people and is very affectionate and enjoys being pet. Road trip, no problem, Sandy enjoys looking out the window and feeling the wind in her face. Sandy has been to the vet for a check up and she did well, a bit nervous at first but warmed up quickly. She was great being handled by the vet and vet techs. Sandy has received her vaccines, is heart worm negative and has gotten a clean bill of health. Sandy foster parents want to find her a wonderful home where she can be loved and appreciated for the sweet and loving girl she is. A companion pet would be great since she is very playful with other dogs. A secure fenced in yard is a must. Sandy is updated on vaccines, potty trained and knows her basic commands.
