Story
Hi, my name is Kodiak Louis! I’m an energetic, loving dog who does great with kids of all ages, even toddlers. I may sneak a snack if given the chance, but I’m very protective and loyal to both kids and adults. I can be nervous at first, but I warm up quickly once I feel comfortable. I love fetch, toys, swimming, baths, and outdoor adventures in any weather especially snow! I walk well on a leash and enjoy structured walks with time to sniff and explore. I know sit, wait, come, and gentle, and I’m eager to keep learning. Give me a job and I’ll do my best to excel! I do have some separation anxiety and would thrive in a home with another dog or people around often. Car rides make me anxious, though I don’t get sick. I also continue to struggle with marking in the house and kennel despite training, so I’ll need a patient owner willing to keep working with me and maintain a consistent routine.

Application Link: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/ARH-A-165 Adoption fee is $360 All dogs are fixed, up-to-date on age appropriate shots and micro-chipped. Eclipse is the sweetest dog. With one look from her big brown loving eyes will melt your heart. She somehow thinks she is a lap dog at times. She came to us out of a drug house with her sister. Her owner wanted to reclaim but was not able to pay for basic care or medical. She was starved, full of parasites and not fixed. All that has been taken care of and she is now thriving. Good with dogs, people and kids, not cats.

Story
Axel came to us after my boyfriend’s uncle passed away. He had lost his wife and thats when he got the dog. He is almost 3 years old and full of energy. He is trained to work and constant brain stimulus. The previous owner was a retired army veteran was home most of the time. We didn’t plan on getting a second dog and as much as we love him I find that he would be better in a less busy household. My American bully does great in our house but I am learning that GSD are very different. He gets along with my other dog but they are male and female so they act like brother and sister. Not sure how he would do with another male. We also have cats and he tries to jump at them but backs away when they hiss. Axel loves pets and belly rubs but does not like feeling trapped, hanging around his neck, or being picked up. He likes his personal space rather than cuddles. He is trained and we have been working with him on and off a leash. Along with other commands to benefit him in his next home.

Story
Help Thelma and Louise Find Their Forever Home! Imagine waiting for years, hoping someone will choose you, only to be overlooked time and time again. This is the heartbreaking reality for Thelma and Louise, a bonded mom and pup duo who desperately need a second chance. These girls are absolutely gorgeous and incredibly sweet! Thelma, the loving mama, and Louise, her playful pup, have been through so much together and deserve a forever home where they can finally feel safe and loved. We don't know much about their past since we weren't their original rescue, but we do know they came to us completely emaciated-skin over bones. It took a solid month for them to slowly gain the weight they needed. Despite their struggles, they remained the sweetest girls, showing nothing but love to everyone they met. Thelma is very house trained and super friendly with everybody she meets. Louise, her loyal pup, is slightly shy at first but warms up quickly! They absolutely adore each other and must be adopted together. We will NOT separate them under any circumstances. Thelma needs a home with a solid privacy fence and no neighboring dogs. Louise just a sweet, loving pup who wants to be by her mama's side. We are committed to helping any potential adopters meet the criteria needed to create a safe space for Thelma and Louise. If you're willing to open your heart and home to these amazing dogs but are worried about meeting the requirements, Canine Partners is here to assist in any way we can.
