She sleeps on the bed and would expect to continue this as part of of her bonding. She loves to fetch and play tug of war. Temporary guardians are willing to drive Kenai to you.

My husband found him when he was a puppy running down a rural Northern California highway. He was starved and covered in fleas. It was a Sunday so he brought him home because the shelter was not open. We bathed him and the water was bloody from the fleas. We fed him, took him to the vet and got his vaccines done at Phoenix animal hospital. I have a 16 year old female dog inside so he had to learn to live outside with my Livestock guardian in the with the lambs as soon as he was healthy enough and big enough to do so. That is where he has been for the last year while we have unsuccessfully looked for a forever home. He is UTD on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. We have done some work with him but I have to very young children, 75 acres and my husband is a California firefighter so he is gone a lot. My time is limited and finances are very tight right now. We really cant afford to keep him much longer.

Whiskey is a 6.5-year-old, German Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix who is loyal, loving, adventurous. We have enjoyed every minute with him since he was a puppy.💕With more young kids around and a baby on the way, we know he’d thrive best in a child-free home.🐕 Loyal & bonded with his people🥾 Loves hiking, running, and the outdoors🐾 Great with dogs & reliable off-leash🎓 Well trained; 6-week board & train at 1.5 yrs🏠 Crate trained (up to 8 hrs)🛋️ Stays off furniture unless invited🦴 Food motivated📣 E-collar trainedWhiskey needs structured introductions to new people and feels safest meeting with his muzzle on- he warms up quickly but can be nippy if not introduced properly. He is not comfortable with the unpredictability of young children and requires a kid-free environment. He will thrive with an active, experienced owner who is home often and/or has land. Happy to have a conversation to answer any questions for any potential adopters who think they might be a good fit❤️

Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.    All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       September 22, 2026, 7:04 pm
