Story
Loretta is simply awesome! She loves to snuggle and eat melon. Loretta is an older gal who found herself as a stray in a high kill shelter. She needed to be spayed and get her teeth cleaned. Those matters have been addressed, but she is getting a full blood panel done on July 15, 2024 for a baseline for the future. Loretta gets along wonderfully with all humans and other animals. She walks great on a leash, potty trained with a dog door, rides well in the car and looks like a mini German Shepherd! She is such a doll. Please email us at stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com for an application to adopt Loretta.

Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, rescueme.org or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we try to get back to everyone quickly. Hi there, I'm Wendy! I'm just a young adult, almost 2 1/2yrs old, full of life and love. I'm sweet as can be, always ready to give you a big doggy kiss. I love water, and fetching my toys from the kiddie pool! I'm loyal, too. I'll always be by your side, ready to lend a paw. I'm a bit goofy, always ready to make you laugh with my silly antics. I'm smart, too. I've learned so many tricks and I'm always eager to learn more. I'm curious about the world around me, always ready to explore. I'm friendly with everyone I meet, and I'm a cuddly pup who loves a good snuggle. I would love to find a forever home where I can share all these wonderful traits. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, loyal, and loving companion, I'm your girl! Wendy's has played with a lot of different types of dogs from Huskies to Malamutes to German Shepherds, her current play buddy is Luca (he is up for adoption too)!! I just got done with a 3 week train and board with Marvin Pierce Dog Teacher and I am very excited to show my new owner, what I have learned. I am a no cat and no young children (under 10yrs) kind of girl! My adoption fee is $250, includes spay, microchip, vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment and 1pound bag of food. 1. Do you have a privately fenced yard? 2. How many humans and ages live in your home? 3. How many animals and types? 4. Do you have time for daily walks or jogs? 5. Are you active, hiking etc? 6. Do you have the time for brushing? 7. Do you have the time to give her hugs and kisses? 8. Have you owner a German Shepard before, if so please tell us about them. 9. What would a typical Wendy day be like?

Benny has been with his fosters in Salem OR since arriving on transport. They nicknamed him nudge as when he wants attention he comes over and gives a little nudge. He’s bonded extremely well his foster dad and enjoys the company on everyone in the home. He does awesome in his kennel and on potty training. He has a sweet and docile temperament with no signs of aggression or resource guarding. He also has been doing extremely well with his recall when called to come back inside from outside play or potty time! Benny will make a great family dog!

He is an incredibly smart boy and has settled foster beautifully. They both work full time so he’s on a great kennel schedule and getting tons of training in. He knows: Sit Stay Leave it Out Place He has great recall as well. Although he is a Grade-A snuggler he equally loves adventure. He has excelled at hand feeds with his foster and takes treats respectfully with training. If you think you could be a good fit for Ozzy please reach out to us our website to file an adoption application. Ozzy is fully vaccinated and neutered.
