Strangers do make him nervous, he needs some time to warm up to you so that he knows he can trust you. He is crate trained, leash trained and house broken. Chance would do best in a quiet home with no cats and possibly a calm quiet female dog. Toddlers make him nervous so he would do better with older children. He loves following his foster parents around his big fenced in yard and will play with you with a toy. He also loves going on walks and car rides . Chance would love a family that is retired or semi retired and able to spend time with him. ODAAT was contacted about a found dog stray, after research we were able to determine that the dog had recently been given away. This dog has been through it and deserves a committed family. He was born approx May 2020 and he is a GSD. He is very active and would love an active family. He loves toys, running and playing. He is great with kids! Because of his activity level we would prefer older children, 10+. He does great with other dogs and a home with someone to play with would be perfect for him. We would advise no cats as he does have a prey drive. He is extremely intelligent and eager to please. He is potty trained, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Luna Mia has a sad story. She was first rescued as a puppy from a farm where she was living by herself in a chicken coop. The farmer planned on breeding her once she was old enough. She was frightened and not socialized. She came to this rescue very nervous and frightened of everything. She learned to trust people here, and was adopted by wonderful people who named her Mia. Sadly after several months her owner passed away unexpectedly, Mia was with her when that happened. She was traumatized and confused. The owner's husband could not keep her and returned her to the rescue. Luna-Mia got re-aquainted with the kennel and the caretakers/volunteers here. She is happy here but would love her own home again. Luna-Mia is housebroken, well mannered, and a wonderful dog once she learns to trust a new person. Until she does trust someone new, she shows "fear aggression" though she has become better about getting to know new people, and sometimes she warms up to a new person very quickly. Luna-Mia is looking for that perfect home for her. She should have a secure fenced yard for safety since she is a fearful dog. No children. and she would prefer to be the only pet. Luna-Mia will make someone very happy, she is a wonderful dog for someone who can give her a little time to adjust to her new home.

Ruger was rescued from a shelter - He is a handsome purebred German Shepherd who appears to be from working lines. He is @ 2 years old, neutered male. Ruger came into the rescue very fearful and he is still nervous with strangers approaching him - however once he warms up to someone he is very friendly and good natured. He is very well mannered on his walks, and does very well ignoring strangers and other dogs. In general he will prefer to be the only pet, but he does go out in the yard with other large dogs (males and females) who are dog friendly and he does very well. If there is another dog in the house though he would do best with a large-breed female who is good with other dogs. Ruger is not good with cats or small animals, or livestock. Due to his temperament and size, children in the home should be over 12. Ruger loves long walks, playing ball and car rides. Ruger will be a wonderful active companion for the right person who has experience with German Shepherds.
