Meet Emma, Edward & Igor 4‑month‑old German Shepherd Puppies | ~27 lbs each | Classic Black & Tan Emma, Edward, and Igor are three beautiful German Shepherd siblings who are just beginning their journey toward confident, happy lives. At four months old and around 27 pounds, these growing pups already show the intelligence and striking looks the breed is known for, with classic black and tan coloring. They came to us from a commercial breeder after they didn’t sell, and we were fortunate enough to welcome their mama into our care as well. Because of their early experiences, the puppies were initially timid and shy. New environments and unfamiliar people can still feel a little overwhelming but once they realize they’re safe, their true personalities begin to shine. With gentle pets, calm voices, and a bit of patience, all three puppies soften quickly and start seeking connection. Our dedicated volunteers are actively working with them on confidence‑building, positive handling, and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Each day, they’re making wonderful progress. These pups will do best in loving, patient homes with German Shepherd experience. A home with another friendly, confident dog would be a huge bonus and can really help them continue to come out of their shells. Emma, Edward, and Igor are looking for committed, caring homes that understand the needs of the breed and are ready to guide a young German Shepherd through adolescence and beyond. In return, these puppies will offer loyalty, intelligence, and deep bonds that only shepherds can give. If you’re experienced with the breed and ready to provide a patient, loving home, one of these special pups might be the perfect addition to your family. 🖤🐾 They would need to meet any resident dogs. I adopted Tanya from someone as an adult dog. She had come from terrible circumstances. She was neglected and abused. She was nothing but skin and bones when she first came to live with me. You could see every rib and every vertebra. She weighed 40 lbs as an adult dog. She was also very timid. She didn't even know how to play. She also had heartworm. After many months of vetting with her, she put on weight (as you can see in the pictures) and my vet was able to get rid of all the heartworms! She is a healthy girl now and her shots are up to date. She learned how to play, but she is still a very timid, very submissive dog. I have a 2nd G.S. dog and he's bigger than her and bullies her constantly and she won't defend herself. She cowers with fear... which is why she must be the only pet. She doesn't like cats and could possibly kill a cat. She is an indoor dog and MUST BE kept inside in a one pet household with her being your #1 love bug. She loves affection!
