Story
Xander does not like any other dogs!!!! He is fine with dog-savvy cats though. He needs an experienced GSD handler! Very protective and can be unpredictable! He is very good in the house. He has some seperation anxiety issues and will need someone patient in working with him. He is five years old. He is a registered DDR German Shepherd. He is my son's dog but is now staying with me in an apartment until he finds a new home. My son is marrying a lady with two small toddlers and Xander is not good with children, so he needs someone who understands him to give him love. He knows basic commands and a couple of tricks too.

Story
Bullet is 7 years old and was my grandfather’s dog. He passed and unfortunately the family cannot keep him. He is currently living with another dog and 2 cats. He is very very energetic and wants to play all the time. Loves car rides and lots of toys. He is okay with other pets but does try to be dominant or very playful. Depending on your animals, if you have any, this could be a good or bad thing. He is up to date on everything and I have the paperwork from the vet. He really needs a home with a yard and a family that will take time with him and love him.

Story
Brooklyn is a beautiful 3-year old Shepherd mix. She loves people of all ages and other dogs. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $365 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Max was a stray wandering our neighborhood.. We think he was dumped in our neighborhood. He was never skittish or anxious with humans so we think he was just an outside dog and his owner couldn’t take care of him. We took him in and he had heartworm and flea dermatitis. We brought him back to health and he is doing great now. He is estimated to be 4-5 years old and the vet thinks he is a purebred German Shepherd. He is a sweet dog but would be best in a home as the only dog or another female dog. Good with older kids, I am not sure about younger kids. He gets along with our cat too. He isn’t getting along with our bulldog and we know he would adapt to a new home with no issues. We want to find the best home for him! He would be great with a family or someone who just wants a companion. He loves to cuddle and go for walks and he is kind of a goof ball. We love him and want him to be in a home where he will be comfortable and showered with love.

Story
Hi, I'm Jax! I was rescued with my sister, Nala. We are 5 years old. We had a great life until our mom became recently single with a new baby. Now she works a lot. I hope to find someone who can take us both, but if not, I'll be okay. Nala & I love chasing balls, chew toys and stuffed animals. My sister is super sweet, but when I get upset when someone new comes around, she cries, too. We've never been around any other dogs, so we'll need someone who will take the time to love us and socialize me or us. We've always wanted to know what it would feel like to have other fur friends. If this sounds like you, please reach out to our mommy. My sister & I can't wait to meet you!
