Story
Pre-Adoption only!! Earliest Day for pick up is 6/10/23 (8 weeks) Location: West Columbia, SC Name: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto Age: 6 weeks (DOB: 4/15/23) Breed: Mom is coonhound, German shepherd, akita, mix (DNA tested). Assumed dad is pictured at the end; all we know is that he is a medium breed mix. Pups currently weight between 5.5 - 8 lbs putting grown weights roughly between 42-76 lbs. Most were 7 lbs putting their size roughly between 54.6-66.7 lbs grown. M/F: 6 M; 2 F (specified under photos) Spayed/Neutered/Shots: will get first round of DHPP on 6/9/23. Have been dewormed with clear fecal at vet. Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: They’ve been fine with everyone they’ve met so far. Haven’t cat tested but are young and should adjust fine and can cat test per specific pup if requested. Aggression or medical issues?: No aggression issues. Only one with medical is Pluto and stated in description under his photos. Mom is heartworm positive so make sure to start prevention prior to 6 months (canNOT be passed from mother to pups, only if mosquito bites her and then pup but it takes 6 months to develop so as long as heartworm prevention is started before 6 months there is 0 risk). Reason for rehoming?: mom has been a stray running for 4+ years that no one was able to catch. We finally caught her during her last pregnancy a couple days before birth. She is scheduled to be spayed and treated for heart worms and then rehomed as well. She is VERY sweet, just had a hard life. House/crate trained?: not house trained but should adjust fast since raised outside since mom isn’t comfy indoors yet. Should crate train fast as well since they have been raised in a large pen. Additional info/story (personality): All pups are EXTREMELY sweet as I have been working with them from birth. I have further specifics on personality in description and can get any further info needed. There is no runt in this litter as mom is a bit older and immunocompromised due to heart worms so the runt passed early on. Everyone in the litter passed the vet with flying colors besides Pluto but his are just things to be aware of for his future, nothing that will affect his lifespan or day to day life. Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home and remaining vetting is completed.
