Baghera is a giant teddy bear who loves being around people and meeting new friends. He's happiest when he's laying nearby while you're both just doing your own thing. He doesn't need constant attention or entertainment. He's perfectly content just being close to his people and being part of the family.He gets along very well with other animals, including cats, and he's always been friendly with little kids. One of my favorite things about him is how low-maintenance he is. Give him a little attention, let him know he's loved, and he's happy to settle down and relax beside you.He's also a bit of a goofball and occasionally forgets how big he is. When he's excited to see you, he sometimes seems convinced he's a lap dog. He's intelligent, well-trained, and has great manners around food. He rarely begs and generally just wants to be included in whatever is going on around him. More than anything baghera has a sweet, gentle nature and a lot of love to give.

...Rambo came to us as a stray with his best buddy, Rocky, another German Shepherd of equal size. These two have spent their entire lives together and are incredibly bonded, so we would love to see them find a home where they can stay together.At 110 pounds, Rambo is a true gentle giant! At almost 6 years old, he is past the rambunctious puppy stage but still has plenty of energy. He and Rocky are both sweet, easygoing boys who would love a family of their own.Rambo and Rocky are definitely travelers! Without a secure fence, they will happily take themselves on walks around the neighborhood, so a securely fenced yard or other safe enclosure is a must. They can also be a little destructive, so if you have expensive outdoor furniture, you may want to find them a different hobby!They have spent their lives primarily as outdoor dogs, so we don`t know how they will do living inside a home. Their adopters should be prepared to patiently teach them about indoor life and give them time to adjust to a new routine. ...Mufasa has had quite the journey before arriving at our shelter. He was originally found on the highway somewhere between here and Yakima by a community member who brought him into the Tri-Cities area. Because he was found outside of our jurisdiction, we were unable to intake him and advised they contact shelters or rescues in the area where he was found as the best way to help reunite him with his owner.Instead, Mufasa was left at Lawrence Scott Park in Kennewick, where concerned witnesses contacted Animal Control. Our officers responded, safely retrieved him, and brought him to our facility, where he has been ever since. Situations like this are a good reminder that contacting the appropriate local Animal Control agency where an animal is found gives them the best chance of making it back home.After spending time with him, one thing is clear—Mufasa is a solid dog. He’s confident, smart, and very aware of himself… and honestly, he knows he’s handsome. At around 65 pounds, this German Shepherd mix (with what we suspect may be a little Chow Chow—hello black tongue spot and jowls) is as photogenic as they come. The camera loves him, and he absolutely works it. Mufasa already knows “sit,” “shake,” and “lay down,” walks beautifully on a leash, and is eager to engage with his handler. He gives off strong “trained but needs direction” energy—the kind of dog who will thrive with someone who enjoys working with their dog and continuing that foundation.He’s still young, playful, and full of energy, and would make an incredible adventure buddy for someone with an active lifestyle. Mufasa will need both mental and physical outlets to keep him balanced and prevent boredom, but he has all the building blocks to be an amazing companion.While he’s generally an angel out on walks, he makes it very clear that he does not enjoy going back to his kennel—who could blame him? He will negotiate for a few extra treats before agreeing to head back inside, which just tells us he’s more than ready to leave shelter life behind.
