Story
For all the Husky lovers out there (and teddy bear lovers) do we have the ultimate treat for you! His name is Skippy Blue and he has eyes for you! See what we did there? A little play on words for you and also an easy transition to talk about those eyes of his! He's going to immediately take your breath away with them and you’ll love the way they almost sparkle in the sun. He's more than his looks though, he is incredibly smart, loves ear scratches, a chill companion, dog friendly, a gentle king. Watch his video and fall in love with this fluff ball: https://youtu.be/78h4AFyL7XI?si=zbLg_6JInZQoRHwN Skippy Blue is a Husky mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 51 lbs. He's basically 90% fluff, 10% Husky, and 100% love pounds. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Skippy can be a little shy at first when meeting new people and but trust me when I say it does not take long for him to turn into your little shadow and lover boy. One of the ways to his heart is through treats and really just quality time. Little by little, he's inching his way closer to you, politely asking for gentle pets, and giving you his paw. His energy is calming as well and you can't help but feel relaxed around him. Give him a little patience in the beginning, and you'll find that you've gained your soul dog. Skippy is very dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced him to. He is not a super playful guy with other dogs, he is more of a hang back, relax, watch the other dogs having fun kind of guy, found a person to give him some lovings, or he's cooling off in a near by kiddie pool. It just goes to show that it doesn't take much to make this guy happy. He's happy to just sit back and watch. Skippy is also fostered in a home with multiple other dogs and he does great with them too! His best doggy sibling match would be a gentle lady friend that has the same tempo as him. Cool, calm and collected. One that's not really looking for a playmate and enjoys just hanging out and enjoying the sunshine together. If you don't have other dogs, that’s fine by Skippy. He would love to be your one and only being the center of your attention. He has an overall relaxed energy about him that a walk around the neighborhood or play time with a toy will satisfy his energy needs. Skippy is the perfect combination of affection while also being independent. He's not overly needy with his love nor does he ever over do it. If you're someone that works from home, he'll be a great work from home buddy because he's not going to be constantly begging you for attention or getting into things he shouldn't be (he has wonderful house manners I might add). He's the type that will come up to you when the time is right for a little ear/nose scratch almost as if he knew you needed a 5 min break from work. As for the rest of the time, he's a window watcher and loves looking out windows or he'll be playing with a toy. He also seems to really enjoy the outdoors and would make a great adventure partner and we're sure he would love the snow too! He loves the water and is always so happy to cool off in the kiddie pool. Bonus points if you have an actual pool but if not a kiddie pool will be just as perfect in his eyes or even a trip to the beach. Skippy isn't high energy and is an easy going guy for the most part but he would love the mental stimulation that comes with exploring and going on an adventure. Skippy is naturally a super smart boy and already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, is crate trained and potty trained too. If you watched his video then you also know he that can shake! For some reason, when he gives you paw, it almost seems like he is trying to give you a high five or a pat on the back LOL. It’s more than just a “shake” command with Skippy, it’s a love language. If you know Huskies and have experience with the breed, you know they thrive with structure, routine, and consistency. We believe Skippy would thrive with a semi-active family that has a fenced in backyard and plenty of space for him to stretch his legs. We have not seen him with kids just yet and we can certainly test that for you. We are willing to test Skippy Blue with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Cinny — like a warm cinnamon roll straight from the oven, she’s equal parts sweet, cozy, and the kind of gal who makes everything feel just a little more comforting. This 4-year-old German Shepherd mix is a beautiful tan girl with soft black highlights, as if someone sprinkled cinnamon sugar along her coat for flair. She’s affectionate, communicative, and just wants to be part of the mix — whether that’s couch snuggles, gentle chats about your day, or shadowing you like your personal emotional support pastry. She previously lived in a home where she was reported to be potty and crate trained, proving she’s not just sweet, she’s smart-sweet. Treats? Yes. Human time? Absolutely. A home willing to appreciate a dog who adores her people? Cinnamon roll heaven. Cinny is a social baby who thrives on connection and wants to love and be loved right back. She’s got a calm vibe, steady presence, and a heart that rises like dough when she feels safe. While we’re still learning how she does with other animals, we do have a report from her previous home saying she did well around children, which tracks — cinnamon rolls pair beautifully with little hands and big hearts. If you’re looking for a lovely companion who will warm your home like fresh-baked comfort, Cinny might just be your perfect recipe for joy. Come meet her — she’s ready to sweeten someone’s life for good. The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.

Story
This is Rocky, he is 2-4 years old and is needing a new home that can keep up with his energy! He has a brother who is also posted above and can go home together or be separated if needed. He has a lot of energy and needs someone who can keep up! I got him about a year and a half ago from a shelter when he was about to be euthanized. He loves toys and is super treat and toy motivated and has some training. I recently moved from a big house with a backyard to a small city apartment and now have a new job working long hospital hours so I can no longer keep him. He is a big snuggle bugs and loves laying on the bed with his toys and having a good nap. He also loves long walks and he is a true water dog! He can be kind of nervous when meeting new people so a few meetings might be best but he warms up quickly. He does really well in kennels and can pull on leash but a gentle lead helps that. Preferably a person who has a backyard and time to play fetch for a while is what he is looking for.

Story
Meet Timber, a tall, lanky glass-of-love-with-legs who somehow manages to be both incredibly handsome and outrageously sweet at the same time. With his long, slender build, big floppy ears, soulful eyes, and that extra-squishy face, he looks like he stepped straight out of a feel-good movie about the world’s best dog. He even sits like a polite little gentleman, tilting his head just enough to make you feel like you’ve been chosen. And once you’re chosen? Congrats—you now belong to Timber. Timber is the king of the lean. He will carefully position his body against you, slowly apply pressure, and melt directly into your personal space like it’s his job. Booty scratches are a must, hugs are his specialty, and holding hands is his love language. His favorite move is offering you his paw—sometimes because you asked, sometimes because he simply feels you should be holding it at all times. He’s incredibly affectionate, gentle with treats, knows how to sit, and will happily paw at you for more attention if you dare stop petting him. He’s the kind of dog who makes strangers feel like best friends in about five seconds. Watch Timber’s video here to fall in love! https://youtu.be/aXSqqJCwOTw?si=T4ZylQXSblMNg7Y4 Timber is about 3 years old and we believe he’s a German Shepherd / Labrador Retriever mix. He weighs around 60 pounds right now, though he’s still filling out and will likely gain a bit more weight—he’s long, tall, and lean with those classic shepherd-lab good looks. His big floppy ears, expressive eyes, and athletic frame make him equally suited for cuddle sessions on the couch and outdoor adventures on the trail. He’s at that perfect age where the puppy chaos has settled, but he’s still playful, fun, and full of life. With dogs, Timber is social, playful, and overall very dog-friendly. He enjoys goofy, playful pals and will happily run, chase, and play bow if invited. If another dog isn’t in the mood, he’s perfectly content to sniff around the yard and mind his own business, checking in with his people along the way. That said, Timber has a hard time sharing food with other dogs and can become reactive around it, even when it isn’t his bowl. Because of this, he would do best as the only dog in the home, and honestly, we think he’d prefer it—he’s a total loverboy who wants all the human affection to himself. On leash, Timber does pretty well but will need a little polishing. He can pull, especially when he sees other dogs, and once he gains the rest of the weight he needs, he’ll benefit from a confident, strong handler who can give clear guidance. He checks in quickly and is eager to engage, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He would absolutely shine as a walking, hiking, and outdoor adventure buddy—this is a dog who would love to explore the world right by your side. Timber is a definite no-cats kind of guy—he finds them way too interesting and has chased them in a foster home. With kids, we can’t say a firm yes just yet since he hasn’t been officially kid tested, but based on his gentle, affectionate, people-loving nature, we think he has wonderful potential to be a family dog. He’s sweet, tolerant, and loving, just in a big, enthusiastic body that will need a little guidance. Apartment life could work for Timber as long as his family is active and committed to giving him the exercise and enrichment he needs. Although I am positive he would love a yard to romp around in! Either way he is a happy boy! Whether it’s long walks, hikes, or just tagging along on daily adventures, Timber wants to be included. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, hand-holding, leaning, paw-giving best friend who will adore you with his entire being, Timber might just be your perfect match.
