Story
If you’ve been searching for a certified good boy, allow us to introduce Barney Delight. This happy boy has the kind of personality that makes people instantly fall for him. His favorite things in life are simple: being close to his people, wagging his adorable wiggle butt, playing with toys, and happily tagging along for whatever the day has in store. With his easygoing, go-with-the-flow personality, Barney is the kind of dog who effortlessly fits into your life and quickly becomes your favorite part of every day. Watch his video and fall in love with his personality: https://youtu.be/FcIpL9GOVes?si=kK09H0V-L4VlqqJD Barney Delight is believed to be a German Shepherd/lab mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 45 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Barney is happiest when he’s near his humans, quietly keeping you company, following you from room to room, or settling in beside you for some well-earned couch time. He’s affectionate, mellow without being boring, and just the kind of dog who makes everyday life feel a little warmer. Between his sweet nature, that irresistible wiggle butt, and his all-around good-boy personality, Barney is the kind of dog who quickly becomes the best part of your day. Doesn't he already sound amazing?! Well wait, there's more! Barney loves treats, is super smart already knowing a few basic commands such as sit and shake, and is crate and potty trained as well and he knows how to use a doggy door. He'll be a great companion for someone who enjoys going on adventures and for someone looking for a snuggly pal at the end of the day. He is the perfect mixture of both. Barney loves to be outside and he would absolutely love it for his forever home to have a nice big backyard for him to roam and relax in the sun. Barney is dog friendly and did great meeting all of the dogs we introduced him to. Barney met a handful of dogs all with different personalities. He is also fostered in a home with other large dogs and they do great together. Barney loves to play, enjoys games of tag your it and will also engage in gentle wrestling matches. He knows when it’s time to take a play break and appreciates those relaxing moments as well. In a home, Barney’s best match would be another dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, likes to play and also appreciates those calmer moments as well. If you don't have another dog, that is totally fine with Barney! He does not need the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable and open up. He is more people-oriented and loves affection so much that he would be just as happy being your one and only and the center of your world. Barney isn’t just looking for a home, he’s looking for his person. The one who’s ready for a steady, loyal companion who will greet you with a wagging tail, settle in beside you after a long day, and quietly become the best decision you’ve ever made. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be flashy to stand out. His goodness speaks for itself. If you’ve been waiting for that easygoing, well-mannered, dog-friendly boy who feels like he’s always been yours… this is your sign. Barney is ready to start his forever chapter, all he needs now is you. We are willing to test Barney Delight with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them. Meet Miko: A Distinguished Gentleman Seeking His Retirement /Fospice HomeLooking for a loyal companion with old-soul charm? Miko is your guy. This handsome 110-pound gentle giant may have a few miles on the odometer, but don’t let that fool you—he still has a zest for life and a heart full of love to give.About Miko:A refined older gentleman, Miko has slowed down a bit with age and arthritis, but he still delights in the simple pleasures: short morning strolls, a few satisfying rounds of fetch, and soaking up affection like it’s his life’s calling. With the help of his pain-management plan, he’s feeling good and enjoying his golden years. What He’s Looking For:Miko is searching for a calm, comfortable home where he can enjoy retirement in style. A space without stairs is a must for his aging joints, and he’d thrive best in a home with teens or adults who appreciate his gentle ways. He socializes well with polite large dogs—though he does fancy himself the “boss” of the bunch—so he’d do well with the right canine match. If you’re ready to open your heart and your home to a dignified senior who still has plenty of love to share, Miko is waiting to meet you. Every gentleman deserves a soft place to land… could that be with you?

Story
Hi ~ My name is Kyra! I am approximately three years old, weight 79 pounds and my people think I am a shepherd mix. I was left in the backyard of the only home I have ever known. My people divorced and the house was listed for sale. The realtor found my sister Kloe and I in the back yard without food and water. A local rescue was contacted and they saved us. We are both very sweet girls and love our people. We haven’t had a lot of exposure to a lot of other dogs because it was just she and I in a back yard. We look forward to having some doggy friends. Our new people say we are calm, seasoned girls and way past the age of puppy antics. I am leash trained and like to go on walks in the neighborhood. I am house trained and crate trained. I ride well in the car. I am good with other dogs. I would to like to be with an active family that is going to take me for walks. I am well behaved, smart, quick to learn and respond well to training. I would love to try my paws at some camping. Bring on the s’mores! I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I am spayed, microchipped, healthy and up to date on vaccines. Please email Adopt@thezoeygroup.com for additional information and application instructions.
