She arrived to Murci's Mission after she was found resting on a local front porch and no one came forward after 6 months of searching. She has an estimated birthdate of 08/25/2023 and weighs 73lbs. Millie is a happy young dog who is turn key ready. She is safe with dogs, cats, kids, and is acceptable on leash and in her crate. She does fine loose in the house unattended, and respects a five foot fence. What's not to love? Millie has long hair and requires routine brushing to stay mat free. Millie takes apoquel daily for allergy management and this costs approximately $3 per day. Millie comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, her remaining apoquel, and medical records. Twig is a 1-year-old, 60-lb Shepherd mix with a big heart, a goofy spirit, and a story that makes you root for him from the start. He arrived at the shelter severely underweight after being found at the local fire department helping himself to their MREs—resourceful, clever, and determined to survive. He was scared and unsure at first, but with patience, kindness, and a loving foster home, Twig has blossomed into a joyful, affectionate, wonderfully silly young dog. Twig is full of puppy energy and enthusiasm for life. He loves meeting new people, exploring new places, and playing with his foster brother, Zeus. Because he can get a little too excited during play, his foster gives both dogs breaks throughout the day—Twig is learning how to read cues and settle, and he’s doing great.He’s a sweet, snuggly lap-lover who thinks he’s much smaller than he is. If you sit down, he’ll happily curl right into you. Twig Loves Car rides and adventures—parks, neighborhoods, anywhere you want to go, Tug toys, rope toys, and playtime with other dogs, Food puzzles and treat dispensers (smart boy, remember?), Crate time—he settles well for naps and overnight, People—he’s social, friendly, and eager to bond. Twig is still working on some typical puppy behaviors like mouthiness and jumping up during play. With structure, positive reinforcement, and consistency, he’s making steady progress. He’s already come so far from the scared, skinny pup who first arrived. Twig is the kind of dog who reminds you how resilient animals can be. He’s gone from frightened and unsure to playful, trusting, and deeply affectionate.
