Story
🐾 Meet Athena 🐾 Athena is a beautiful 2 ½-year-old, 65-lb purebred German Shepherd with a heart full of love. Though initially shy, this sweet girl quickly warms up—especially if you have a hotdog in hand—and has shown herself to be social, affectionate, and eager to bond. Athena is currently being spayed and will be ready for her forever home once she heals. She doesn’t have much formal training yet, but she’s a quick learner and eager to please. Like many German Shepherds, she thrives with purpose, structure, and companionship, and she will blossom with a family willing to guide her. German Shepherds are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and protective instincts, making them incredible family dogs and devoted lifelong companions. ⚠️ Important: Athena cannot be around birds, as she has a history of killing chickens. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this loving girl, Athena will reward you with loyalty, joy, and endless affection. 💌 Apply to Adopt: https://www.cognitoforms.com/Okandogs1/DogAdoptionApplication

Story
Coupe is a sweet boy, just over a year old but still full of playful puppy energy. He's a bit shy in new situations and with new people, but he's sure to thrive with some training and patience. He's generally good with other dogs and would be ok with dog-smart children. We don't know how he would do with cats but definitely shouldn't be trusted around chickens.

Story
Harley and brothers Zorro and Brownie are sweet, playful boys who are always in the mood for a snuggle. Zorro is still learning new things about the world and he'll need a gentle and confident human to help show him the ropes. With a little bit of practice, he'll be a well-behaved and loyal companion! He is likely to be nervous around small children but could do well with older kids who want to help with his training. ** adoption fees are reduced from the usual $350 thanks to a generous donor**

Story
$50 Adoption fee! Why so low? Yakima County is spilling over with stray and dumped dogs. Our goal is to get dogs into the right homes ASAP so we can help other dogs in need. It's not about the money, it's about finding the right home for these pups! Jazzy spent several months at the Humane Society before coming to our rescue. She was found in the street in rough shape, like she had to fend for herself for quite some time. It’s obvious she was bred multiple times, then probably dumped. Jazzy is friendly to everyone and likes to be close to her humans. She’d love to be the center of attention by being the only dog, but she will tolerate fur siblings. She’s up for any new adventure or laying around the house. Sometimes I catch her just hanging out outside in the cold by choice. This sweet girl is ready to find a family of her own that will give frequent scratches and cuddles. This dog is located in Selah, WA. PetFinder allows multiple postings of the same animal as long as the postings are 100 miles apart from each other. This way we can reach far and wide to find the perfect home for this dog. If driving to Selah is difficult for you, we will do our best to find a rescue partner to meet you halfway.
