Story
$50 Adoption fee! Why so low? Yakima County is spilling over with stray and dumped dogs. Our goal is to get dogs into the right homes ASAP so we can help other dogs in need. It's not about the money, it's about finding the right home for these pups! Jazzy spent several months at the Humane Society before coming to our rescue. She was found in the street in rough shape, like she had to fend for herself for quite some time. It’s obvious she was bred multiple times, then probably dumped. Jazzy is friendly to everyone and likes to be close to her humans. She’d love to be the center of attention by being the only dog, but she will tolerate fur siblings. She’s up for any new adventure or laying around the house. Sometimes I catch her just hanging out outside in the cold by choice. This sweet girl is ready to find a family of her own that will give frequent scratches and cuddles. This dog is located in Selah, WA. PetFinder allows multiple postings of the same animal as long as the postings are 100 miles apart from each other. This way we can reach far and wide to find the perfect home for this dog. If driving to Selah is difficult for you, we will do our best to find a rescue partner to meet you halfway. Story
Imani (E-Mon-E) was left by a river 2 summers ago and is the first rescue we took in. She was already about 4 when we got her and takes a little time to warm up, she is getting more trusting of people but she has her shy qualities. Ince she knows you she loves you, will ask for belly rubs, is a wonderful ballerina, she likes running, a yard or active family would be good. She gets along well with boy dogs, is a little iffy around other females. She is very sweet, she is almost 6 but still has a lot of energy and years to go.

Story
Jasper is a very sweet boy, but due to an incident with a neighbors dog ( the dog was fine and the human was never in danger). the county said he will be labeled a level 3 ( though I am going to fight that) He is actually a very timid dog, still working on not jumping, leash skills, and listening. Needs an EXPIERENCED person and probably better out of county, he has never had problems with dogs before and we're pretty sure the neighbor is lying but we have to inform an adopter of this information.

Story
Meet Molly, a one-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 50 pounds.Molly is a gentle sweetheart looking for a family ready to show her just how wonderful life can be. She came to us as a stray alongside Mia, and when she first arrived, so much of the world was still brand new and a little overwhelming for her.At first, Molly was unsure about new places, new experiences, and even simple everyday things. With time, patience, and care, she has made incredible progress and her true personality is starting to shine. She is a sweet, soft-natured girl who is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place.Molly has blossomed into a wonderful companion. She now enjoys going for walks and has discovered that exploring the world with her people can be a lot of fun! She does well in a crate, uses a dog door like a pro, and did great with potty training in a home environment. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well with her canine friends.Molly is a food-loving girl who gets very excited about mealtime! She enjoys her meals so much that she may try to help herself to another dog`s food if given the opportunity, so her future family will want to keep an eye on unattended bowls. While Molly may still need some reassurance as she continues building confidence, she has shown how much she is capable of learning and growing. She has an eager-to-please personality and responds beautifully to patience, gentle guidance, and positive experiences.Molly is a kind, loving girl who has already come so far. She’s ready for a family who will continue cheering her on and showing her that she is finally safe, loved, and home. This pet is available for adoption on 5/21/2026 2:59 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Samantha, a three-month-old German Shepherd/American Bully mix weighing 18 pounds.Samantha is a sweet, friendly puppy with an even sweeter personality—and some seriously big paws to grow into! While we can`t say for sure what breeds make up this adorable mystery mix, one thing is pretty clear: she`s likely going to be a big girl when she`s all grown up.Samantha was found as a stray alongside her littermates, so her early story is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that she`s ready to leave that chapter behind and start a new one with a family of her own.Like any puppy, Samantha is full of curiosity and ready to learn. She`ll need a family committed to all the fun (and work!) that comes with raising a puppy, including house training, socialization, and basic obedience. The time you invest now will help her grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog.If you`re looking for a loyal companion to grow up with your family, Samantha is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of puppy adventures.
