Story
Gigi is a sweet girl looking for her forever family. Being curious and observant, she enjoys exploring her surroundings. Gigi is a high energy dog whose favorite activity is playing "soccer." She also loves playing with toys of all kinds and chewing on sticks. Gigi gets along well with other dogs and would prefer a doggie friend to keep her company. After running and playing in the backyard, she enjoys snoozing in the sunshine or curling up on the couch for a nap. She is house-trained, sleeps in a crate night, and is learning to walk on a leash. Gigi would love an active family to teach her commands, play with her, and take her on outdoor adventures. Another one of Gigi's adorable habits is that she loves to carry her blankets around with her everywhere she goes, it's precious!

Story
Oh Doug! We love him so much! He's truly the best dog. We think Doug is a purebred German Shorthair Pointer but it's hard to know for sure since he was found as a stray. He was definitely a hunting dog! His favorite thing to do is retrieve his stuffed animals and bring them to you as soon as you walk in the door. For an older gentleman, he is still very active and loves doing zoomies in our fenced in backyard. He gets along great with the children and other dogs in our home. He loves to snuggle on the couch and be near his people. Doug will need to be in a cat free home though due to his prey drive. He has good manners and knows how to sit. He is fully crate and potty trained. Doug stays crated during the day due to the fact that we have cats in our home but he would be perfectly fine not crated in a cat free home. Doug has spent some time with temporary fosters while we were out of town. Here's what they said about him! Ron: " I've long ago lost count how many dogs have shared my life but I can say without a doubt Doug is at the top of the list. He is totally obedient and loves nothing more than to please his people. He works hard at it, bringing toys and affection and enjoys laying on the couch with his head in your lap." Laura: " He longs to be a cuddler, but he's more of a flopper!" Doug is fully vetted and is being fostered near Huntsville, AL.

Story
Milo and his 3 sisters were all found in a vet clinic trash dump in 2023.NO CATSThey were all adopted. Milo is the goodest boy ever but his parents divorced and the apartments where his Mom and human siblings are able to afford to move into don't allow pets so Milo the good boy has to come back to MARF. He's a pointer/German Shorthair Pointer mix (we had thought heeler, but we were wrong!) and whatever mix and loves running outside, playing with the kids, etc.NO CATS for Milo and he is an ALPHA DOG so needs a submissive. He's fully vetted and ready to move on to his FUREVER home with a secured place to run, play and potty. He's great with other dogs and respectful kids but would be fine as an only child as long as he got exercise. A lot of it. He's a big boy at almost 70 lbs.Apply online at MadisonARF.org
