Story
Joey is a 4 year old pointer/hound mix that was a rescue from the pound at around 4 months. He grew up in a household with an older golden retriever who he loved playing with. He has had some reactive behavior on leash with other dogs and has not had many opportunities to interact with other dogs outside of his own home. About 2 years ago I moved into an apartment. He doesn’t get as much exercise and mental stimulation as he needs because of this his reactive behavior has increased. He has always been more skittish and anxious but once he knows you he is very loving. He loves to be a lap dog and always near someone. He is completely house trained and hasn’t had any accidents or torn anything up. He is not storm anxious. He didn’t grow up around children so he does get anxious around kids and tries to nip at them sometimes, in a playful manner. I believe joeys behavioral issues would benefit if he could be outside getting more exercise and attention.
