Hi, I’m Lili and I’d love to tell you a bit about myself! I am looking for my forever adopter. Could that perhaps be you? I've been in British Columbia for about 6 months, living close to nature and with a big yard to run around in. I love my humans, playing with other dogs, cuddles, car rides, and I am a great dog around young children. I am still working on some separation anxiety but I'm a smart dog so I'm sure that, with support, I can gain in confidence.

At a very young age I was abandoned on the streets of Lebanon. Scared and confused, my sharp wits kicked in which saved me from being struck by chaotic traffic and attacks from unfriendly street dogs. As a young pup unprepared for survival as a stray, I needed help, and found it in a compassionate stranger.
My rescuer clearly saw that I was struggling, and brought me to safety. What a relief it was to once again feel loved! Alas, my stay with her was short-lived as she had two of her own beloved dogs.
She found a foster home for me, and I have been in their care for the past year. It’s alright here (I’m off the streets!), but my ultimate goal is to settle into a longterm home where I can feel secure with the right humans! I still have a lot of learning and growing to do-- I want to be challenged and lead an active life! I have a lot of love to give, so you'll be rewarded too!

Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.
Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.

Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
