Hello! My name is PERLITA and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: German Brocco Shorthaired Pointer mix Age: 1 year approx. Gender: Female Weight: 20 lbs (9 kgs)  Current Location: Guadalajara, Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was found roaming the highway of Paracho (a little town in Michoacan, Mexico) where it is very dangerous for a small pup like me to be running so close to so many fast cars. Thankfully, I was rescued and taken to a safer place to be cared for while I wait to be brought to my new forever home! You can see a video of me here when I was rescued, I was so happy someone was showing us love and attention! TEMPERAMENT - I am said to be very sweet! I love to cuddle a lot, especially hugs and I tend to fall asleep if I'm cuddled and pet, just like a baby! Since I am still a puppy, I love to play and I can get a little ahead of myself with other dogs and be rough but I am still growing and learning! I am very playful but sometimes I prefer to stay inside and even play on my own. Sometimes if I don't know a dog I will bark until I get to know them better and once I do, I am very friendly! I love toys and I especially love stuffed animals. ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate - I am a playful, young puppy who needs a good amount of physical and mental stimulation in the day and once I get enough, I am ready to sleep and cuddle lots! Despite its scale, the municipality fails to provide even the most basic care for us, including food. Yes, it's hard to believe—but sadly, it’s the truth. That’s why my rescuers began visiting regularly to feed us dogs and check on our condition.One day, while bringing food, they saw a new group of dogs being dumped into the chaos. Among them was me. Being a small, timid soul with kind eyes, I was clearly out of place. If they hadn’t been there at that exact moment to intervene and introduce me gently to the alpha dogs, I might not have survived even the first hour. Dog fights over territory and food are common in such neglected conditions.With every visit, my rescuers noticed I was covered in new bite wounds. Each time, more than before. They were desperate to get me out. Like many rescues though, they are faced with the impossible task of finding a safe space for dogs. They rushed me to the vet, but my leg couldn’t be saved. The only option was amputation.But here’s the miracle: I never stopped loving. I adore people and get along great with other dogs. I haven't been around kitties.Now, I am recovering beautifully. I move with graceful dignity, my spirit unbroken.
