Story
I have a chance to come to Canada Jun 7, if I have an adopter. Please pick me! Howdy. My name is Nova and here's a little about me:Breed: Pointer/Beagle mixAge: 2 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 26 kgsHeight: 55 cmCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: loving, gentle, trusting, affectionate, playful, very smart My name means “new” and “ I truly live up to it. After all I have endured, I am still  loving and smiling with joy for life. And I have an elegant looking body too.The municipality shelter has become overwhelmed. With the implementation of a mass collection law, dogs have been rounded up from the streets and placed into an enormous, open area. While the space is large, it's heartbreakingly overcrowded—more than 300 dogs, and more arriving every day. Despite its scale, the municipality fails to provide even the most basic care for us, including food. Yes, it's hard to believe—but sadly, it’s the truth. That’s why my rescuers began visiting regularly to feed us dogs and check on our condition. One day, while bringing food, they saw a new group of dogs being dumped into the chaos. Among them was me. Being a small, timid soul with kind eyes, I was clearly out of place. If they hadn’t been there at that exact moment to intervene and introduce me gently to the alpha dogs, I might not have survived even the first hour. Dog fights over territory and food are common in such neglected conditions. With every visit, my rescuers noticed I was covered in new bite wounds. Each time, more than before. They were desperate to get me out. Like many rescues though, they are faced with the impossible task of finding a safe space for dogs. Then, on one visit, they found me in terrible shape—my leg shattered, dangling, and trembling. Likely I injured it while trying to escape an attack. They rushed me to the vet, but my leg couldn’t be saved. The only option was amputation. But here’s the miracle: I never stopped loving. Through all the pain, the chaos, the hunger, and the fear—I never once growled or turned away from people or other dogs. I remained gentle, trusting, and affectionate. I adore people and get along great with other dogs. I haven't been around kitties. Now, I am recovering beautifully. I move with graceful dignity, my spirit unbroken. What I need is a second chance—a loving home, a warm bed, and someone who sees me not for what I've lost, but for the incredible soul I am.I radiate happiness and hope. I am a triple sweetheart. I'm one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet. Despite my amputation, I am full of life. I love to play like a kid in kindergarten—chasing my dog friends, rolling on the ground, and soaking up every second of joy. Also, I am incredibly smart and food-motivated for learning. I learned to sit in 3 minutes.Though I am three-legged, I have a fairly good energy level. Though a few short walks and playtime are usually enough to keep me content.I am extremely adaptable and would do well in most home environments.I'm a soul that’s full of gratitude and ready to make new memories. I'm waiting for a human who will see beyond my missing leg and recognize my heart, my strength, and my playful spirit. Are you the one who’ll give me the life I've always deserved? Energy Level: Moderate to Moderate-HighI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnknownKids: unknown Fears: none observed. Please be patient assistingTraining:Leash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: unknown. Please help me learn! Health notes: missing rear right legI have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2399523##

Hi everyone, I am Dexter and delighted to meet you! Here's some information about me:Age: 3  yearsBreed: Pointer mix (poodle or terrier)Weight: 50 lbsGender: Male Note that I am part of a bonded pair (see Ivy). I am by no means an alpha male, having been surroudned my females all my life and honestly, I like it that way. Ivy has been an amazing older sister/ mentor for me and I just like to be close to her and doing whatever she is doing - she seems to have it all together! Food is my most favourite thing and you can totally bribe me with a tasty treat. I enjoy the company of other dogs a bit more than Ivy and can be conviced to play, especially if I get the sense that they might become part of the pack.  Due to unfortunate circumstances, our owner has to move in February and will not be able to take us with her, so were a looking for our new forever family. Ideally we would need to go together - I wouldn't know what I would do with out Ivy. I'd certainly feel lost without her. I am neutered, vaccinated and house trained.  An adoption fee of $100 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. Hi everyone, I am the intelligent Ivy and here's some information about me:Age: 4  yearsBreed: Purebread English PointerWeight: 40 lbsGender: Female Note that I am part of a bonded pair (see Dexter). True to my breed, I love being outside, exploring the great outdoors and chasing butterflies. Food is not a great motivator for me, but I relish in a good sunggle, curling up with you under a blanket. As an independent dog, I don't really need other dogs to play with, but for dogs like Dexter, who's been in my life for a few years, I have accpeted him as part of the pack. I wouldn't have chosen role of mentor for myself, but Dexter seems to think that since I'm older, I'm also the wiser one, so I go along with that and accept him as my shadow, following me around everywhere. Due to unfortunate circumstances, our owner has to move in February and will not be able to take us with her, so were a looking for our new forever family. Ideally we would need to go together - I would worry about Dexter out there on his own.  I am spayed, vaccinated and house trained.  An adoption fee of $100 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Story
Hi future fam! My name is Junior and here's more about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Pointer mix Age: 1 year approx.  Gender: Male Weight: 45lbs (20 kg)  Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was found on the streets of Guadalajara as a weeee puppy of only two months old. My foster hooman and recuer was out for a walk, sadly grieving the loss of one of her beloved pups when I darted into her path and right into her arms, hungry and afraid! I think I knew a good hooman when I saw one and I felt that she needed a little relief from her heartbreak. And that's exactly what she got! Despite the fact that I was malnourished and had a few fleas along for the ride (all better now!), I am a bundle of love and joy that can brighten up any household. You could even say that's my superpower! TEMPERAMENT - I loooove hugs and all affection from my two-legged buddies! I'm also a real goofball who often makes my foster laugh by getting myself into...um...predicaments such as getting stuck on surfaces that are a bit too high up for me (I'm still wee ya know!). Some of my favourite things in the world are TOMATOES, treats and cuddles! I would love to be a ray of sunshine in your life and  be a loving part of your family forever!  ENERGY LEVEL - Low/Medium GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! I have been tested with older kids as you can see here and here.  Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house! Cats – Yes! You can see more in my video here PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills as you can see here, however I may need some additional patience and training :) House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES:  I am neutered and vaccinated. NOTE: dogs from Guadalajara are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2204083##

Story
Hey there! My name is Point, and I’m a 4-year-old English Pointer girl, weighing about 25kg. I might have had a rough start in life—I was rescued from an abandoned chicken coop, where I spent my early years without much human touch. But let me tell you, those days are long behind me! Since my rescue, I’ve learned so much! I may have started a little late, but I’m super smart and quick to learn. I’ve mastered basic commands like sit, wait, and go to my crate, and I absolutely love training—especially if there’s a treat or a ball involved! Speaking of balls… I LOVE to play! Throw me a ball or a frisbee, and you’ll see the happiest dog ever. I can run, jump, and fetch all day long! I’ve got the energy and skills for agility or frisbee games, and I dream of having a family who will run and play with me. I’m a friendly and affectionate girl who adores people. I get so excited to meet new friends that I might jump up to say hello—but don’t worry, I’m working on my manners! I just can’t help it—I love people so much! The more time we spend together, the happier I am. I’m also great with other dogs, big or small. Even if another dog tries to take my favorite ball, I don’t mind—I’m happy to share! I have a gentle and patient nature, and I don’t have any aggression at all. But here’s the thing—I’m an active dog with lots of energy. I need at least two hours of exercise a day, and I’d love a yard where I can run freely. If I don’t get enough playtime, I might get a little restless, so keeping me busy with fun activities (like snuffle toys or puzzles) will make me the best companion ever! I’m still learning and growing, but with a patient and loving family, I know I can be the most amazing dog. If you love outdoor adventures, enjoy playing, and want a best friend who will always be by your side, I think we’d be a perfect match!
