Story
Hello, my name is Sunny. I am an 8 month old pointer mix. I love people so much but can feel a little timid when I first meet new friends. Fortunately, I get over it quick and just want all the pets I can get. I also love being around other dogs and would love a confident sibling to help teach me about the world. My foster home has multiple cats and they are all scary, except for one that I love to hang out with and get head butts.Overall, I am pretty low key for a puppy but am still learning how to be a dog and enjoy being clumsy and chewing a good chew toy. In fact, I LOVE all toys and like to carry them around the house and yard. My favorite past time is definitely snuggling on the couch right up against my foster mom and watching TV with my foster family. I am really just learning about the world and can sometimes feel afraid but I make sure I am always on my best behavior and am nice to everyone I meet. My foster mom said she named me Sunny because I am so bright and warm and enjoyable to be around. I am just looking for a home that can help me build confidence and will let me cuddle on the couch.

(((READ ALL INFO BEFORE INQUIRING PLEASE))))) Steps needed to adopt Step 1) complete the application, the link is below https://form.jotform.com/81702264428152 Step 2) Thoroughly read any info about the dog. Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog

MEET THE GSP CHOCOLATE BOY - UPDATE: (Only one chocolate boy available now) These little darlings were brought to us due to a breeder being ill and hospitalized. They are full German Shorthair Pointers and have docked tails. The puppies were very tiny on arrival and are now about 20 lbs. they are very sweet and friendly with kids and cats too. These puppies are very Busy and need homes that are familiar with their breed and their personality traits. They need a lot of excercise and stimulation. This sweet little guy has been neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. They are also litter trained (can explain that process during the adoption process ) If you believe little chocolate GSP boy is your love match please send some information about yourselves and how puppy would spend his days with you along with a request for an adoption application to gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you, Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.

Story
Freckles is a senior boy ready for his forever home. He is eager to please, extremely friendly and listens well. He likes to fetch and run, so an active person/family would be ideal. He is crate trained, potty trained and wants to be your new best friend. He does have a high prey drive, so squirrels beware. He didn’t quite know what to do about our neighbor cat who walked by him, so introductions might be possible, not 100% about cat interactions. He ignores turkeys, but is anxious to meet other pup friends. Best to have him on a harness if you are not a runner, he will pull - we are currently working on that.I also went on a Doggie Day Out Adventure with a volunteer on 2/24 and had a great time! Here is what my volunteer had to say about our adventure! `We went out to the Natomas Fish Hatchery and walked from there to Lake Natoma, which was populated with walkers, runners, boaters, families, fishermen, etc… Freckles, as I mentioned earlier, was great on leash! He seemed to enjoy the variety in terrain, all of the outdoors (including ducks and other birds), trails, including stepping into the lake a time or two! A woman stopped and chatted, wanting to know more about Freckles. We were out exploring most of the day. We did stop by Starbuck’s on our way back to the shelter for triple “pup cups!” Again, I hope that Freckles enjoyed his day out and that he may find a forever home soon.`I went on another Doggie Day out adventure with a volunteer on 3/9 and here is what they had to say! `Freckles is such a sweet and affectionate pup. He is a model car passenger, and easily got in and out of the car without any complaint. Freckles is very quiet, and was not reactive to other dogs, cars, people, and even birds. He loves to be pet, and melts onto people petting him. Freckles enjoyed adventuring in Land Park, Green Acres, and New Glory Brewery. Despite the crowds, he remained very calm throughout! Freckles already knows sit, and quite good at name recall. He loved treats of all kinds and he loved being showered with pets and affection. Freckles would be a perfect buddy to accompany any adventure!`
