Story
We rescued hank 6 months ago off the streets when he wondered into our yard emaciated and infested with flees. It was apparent that he was neglected and possibly abused based off of his behavior. He had very bad anxiety, wasn’t house trained, and knew no commands. We have since house trained him and taught him how to sit and lie down. His anxiety has gotten much better but it’s still there. He does great with our other 2 dogs and is good with our kids, however he does not like to be bothered when he is sleeping. So for that reason I would say he would be best in a home with no small children. He doesn’t show any signs of food aggression. We would like him to go to a home with other dogs. He does best when left alone with our other dog and we find it helps him not be so anxious. He is very high energy and needs a home with a large fenced yard where he can run. We are thinking he is only a year old. We have 3 kids and 2 other dogs already and just can’t keep him any longer.

(((READ ALL INFO BEFORE INQUIRING PLEASE))))) Steps needed to adopt Step 1) complete the application, the link is below https://form.jotform.com/81702264428152 Step 2) Thoroughly read any info about the dog. Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog

Story
MJ is a 1 year old and 59 pound dog looking for his forever home. MJ is a dog that cares all about those gains!! He adores a good workout! If you need an exercise buddy he would love to take on that role for you!MJ recently went to an offsite event and loved meeting new people - especially kiddos! He gave kisses, didn't jump, and greeted appropriately. I don't have a history with dogs, so I may need slow introductions to new dogs.I don't have a history with cats, but may do well with them with a slow introduction.I lived with kids in my previous home but may be selective with your kids.If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

Story
Hi, I`m Garfield!I recently went out on a doggy day out and here is what they had to say about me. `He was hesitant to get in the car but with lots of encouragement, he did. Once in the car he was very calm. We took him for a walk by the river. When we found access to the river he went straight in and liked to dive for sticks. We walked some more and he chased butterflies. He also, tried to stick his head in any holes he could find. He pulled on his leash a lot. We then got him a pup cup and he loved it!We took him home and he chased after the ball in the backyard. He is a highly energetic dog and played with toys the whole time he was here.` Garfield is a great jogger and has endless energy! he would thrive best in a very active home. if you love running, hikes and lake days come meet him!Garfield has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:Check out more photos and videos of me here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
