Story
Meet Cane, a striking 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Hound mix with a vibrant, colorful coat and one mesmerizing blue eye paired with a warm brown one.Cane`s playful personality shines as he enjoys romping around the shelter yard and playing enthusiastic games of fetch with his favorite squeaky toys..Once he`s had his playtime, Cane settles down for calm strolls, happily exploring and sniffing the outdoors, his leash manners improve significantly after he`s burned off some energy.Cane has mastered basic commands like `sit` and will patiently wait and make eye contact when receiving a treat. He’s friendly with people and enjoys affection when offered, though he isn’t always the first to seek it out. While Cane has participated in playgroups with other dogs at the shelter, he has experienced some altercations, both in group settings and in a previous adoptive home. He may also display some reactivity toward other dogs on walks but responds well to gentle redirection. For these reasons, Cane is best suited to be the only dog in his future home. His history with cats is unknown. If you’re looking for an active companion who will bring color and character into your life, consider meeting Cane today! To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
