Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
HI - I'M GOOSE! I'm a young (1-2) black lab-flat coat retriever-shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home! (Shelter says I'm 3 but I act like a 1-year-old puppy even in the way I walk.) I was rescued from a crowded California shelter along with my brother Rooster, a flat-coat retriever, who also needs a home. We do not have to be adopted together. I am good with other dogs and a lovebug with people. I'm basically a happy boy who would love my own home where I can be walked, petted, taken on outings or road trips and given the love and attention I so deserve. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. I'm currently still in California, but can be transported to you in Idaho or Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
Koda is a loving, loyal, and incredibly smart dog ready to find his perfect match. He’s gentle in the home, very affectionate, and loves cuddling up with blankets and pillows. Koda is fully house-trained, knows many commands, and can be left alone responsibly without being crated. He’s not aggressive; his one bite incident was fear-based, not ongoing aggression. Koda just needs calm handling and patience when he feels unsure. Once he trusts you, he’s affectionate, goofy, and devoted. Koda enjoys playing outside, lounging on the couch, and being part of daily life with his people. He’d do best in a home with older, respectful kids and no other pets or only calm, mature dogs (he gets along with some but is stressed by energetic dogs). Because of his sensitive nature, Koda will thrive with someone who understands anxious dogs and can offer a stable, peaceful home. We are heartbroken to rehome him but know he deserves happiness.

Story
Meet Lena! Lena is a one year old, purebred German Shorthair Pointer. Her owner could no longer care for her and decided it was best if she found a home that could give her the love and attention she deserved.    Lena is very friendly and wants to be loved and cuddled. She loves children and people so much. She is also great with dogs. She will chase cats, which is typical for the hunting breeds.   Although she was never trained to hunt, she is not gun shy. She locks on point with birds and squirrels. She does pretty well with sit, lay and stay if she is not wound up or has the zoomies.   German Shorthair pointers are easily trainable. If you are not familiar with the breed, do your research first. They are in the Sporting Dog category and were bred to hunt. They require a lot of exercise, so if you're in need of a running partner she may be the perfect fit!   All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information     Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.     Pet Adoption League  1526 N. Story
Cooper is a 4-year-old Kelpie mix with a gentle, thoughtful spirit who just needed time to feel safe. When he first arrived in his foster home, it was clear he hadn’t had much (if any) socialization with people or everyday life inside a home. Regular household sounds, movement, even the TV were overwhelming. His crate became his safe place, and he would choose to go there often just to feel secure. With patience and consistency, Cooper has slowly blossomed. Now he spends most of his day resting calmly on the couch or laying in the kitchen while meals are being made. He used to be nervous in the car, but now he gets excited to go for rides. He didn’t understand treats at first, but now he joyfully pops up on his hind legs to ask for one. Cooper does very well with dogs of all sizes and is respectful of cats. He is crate trained and doing well with potty training—he hasn’t had an accident in the house in about a week. Though he is around 4 years old, he still has a bit of youthful playfulness in him. He loves belly rubs, gentle massages, chewing on toys, and watching the world go by from the cat perch. On walks, he is calm, rarely pulls, and often looks back to “check in” with his person—he truly wants to do things right. Because unpredictable movement can still make him nervous, Cooper would do best in a calm home without young children. He needs someone who can offer patience, steadiness, and understanding. Cooper has already come so far. With a loving, reassuring person by his side, he will continue to open up and become the loyal, tender, devoted companion he is meant to be. To apply directly for Cooper click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-762 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
