Story
Meet Koda: The Gentle Giant Looking for Love Located in: Boise, ID Breed: Lab/Husky Mix Age: 3 years old Adoption Fee: WAIVED When Koda came to his Fuzzy Pawz Rescue foster home, his former owner described him as a "big, lovable doofus," and he has lived up to that description with flying colors! At just 3 years old, Koda is a charming Husky/Lab mix, a gentle giant who's ready to fill your life with love and laughter. Koda is a sweet and affectionate boy who has shown his wonderful personality in his foster home. He gets along well with most people, cats, and dogs. He's the kind of dog who loves belly rubs, playing fetch, and leisurely walks through the neighborhood. On cooler days, you'll find him enjoying the yard, soaking up the sun. While Koda has been a good companion to the small dog in his foster home, he can be a bit dominant and tends to hump dogs closer to his size. To make sure it’s a good fit, it's essential to have him meet any potential dog siblings before adoption. However, Koda's heart truly belongs to being the center of attention and receiving all the love and pets, so he would be happy as an only child. Koda is a laid-back, loving dog who enjoys playtime. He loves chasing balls, although he might not always return them. When he gets excited, he tends to jump up, so he's best suited for a home with older children to prevent any accidental tumbles. He's a strong boy who might pull on a leash, but with a gentle leader, he walks like a pro. His foster has been working on leash walking with him, and he's been making great progress. Koda knows basic commands such as 'sit' and 'down' and isn't a big barker, although he might use a little whining to express his desires, especially when it's time for a walk! We can't wait to see Koda find his forever home, where he can be the loyal and loving companion he was born to be. If you're interested in bringing Koda into your family, please fill out an Adoption Application using the link below: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Don't miss the chance to welcome this "big, lovable doofus" into your life. Koda is ready to become the gentle giant of your heart and home!

Story
Located in: Boise, ID Breed: Lab/Hound Mix Age: 8(ish) Adoption Fee: $50 Jack is a wonderfully mellow dog with an amazing personality. He loves his ear rubs and chew toys but most of all he loves getting outdoors for all the smells and all the walks. He is great on a leash and leads the way with little redirecting. He ignores other animals including cats which he has been wonderful with in his temporary home. He is not afraid to let you know when it is breakfast or dinner time and loves to root around his food puzzle. Everyone who meets Jack comments how wonderful and mellow that he is. He has lost some of his hearing but is adapting well to hand and body commands. Jack is looking for his forever home and would benefit from a place that allows him to get outdoors frequently. He loves being around people and doesn’t mind other animals as long as they are respectful. He does have some allergies that are well-maintained with his medication which he takes without issue.

Story
Located in: Boise, ID Breed: Lab Mix Age: 8 months Adoption Fee: $75 neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Chugs is a delightfully fun and energetic boy who came to Fuzzy Pawz when his people could not keep him. This guy is not only sweet and fun-loving but equally smart as well! He learns quickly and is VERY eager to please. He looks for direction from his people as if to ask “What do you want?” or “Is this okay?” He’s house-trained and crate-trained, but would rather sleep in your bed if he was allowed. This guy is a true cuddle bug—he comes up and puts his head nicely in your lap for pets, and maybe if he thinks you won’t notice, he will attempt to crawl in your lap. You’ll notice, but sometimes it’s just too sweet to resist. Chugs has not been exposed to many things in his young life, so can be fearful of new experiences and new people. He’s learning every day and making progress. Chugs can get very protective of the women in his life; he will bark/growl at anyone who gets close to his lady (even someone else who lives in the home). He is young and eager to please so a family that is willing to put in the work would be best; or he would also do great in an all male household. He will not do well with kids in the home; a quieter home life with slow introductions to the big wide world would be best. He also has some separation anxiety that his foster home is working with him on. He will cry for a bit when put in his crate but is not destructive. We will recommend he does not live in an apartment, since he can get kind of loud when he’s upset about being left. He does settle down and is now crating at night with little complaint. He does take comfort if someone is in the room with him, so sleeping by his family’s bedside might just be the answer. (His foster home cannot provide this for him, but his foster mom slept on the couch in the same room and he was okay). Chugs is a big silly puppy that only wants love, attention, food, and play. What else is there? He would love a confident, happy dog sibling to play with who will tolerate his goofiness and sometimes overzealousness. He does get along with other dogs, instigating play, and listens to corrective action when he’s playing rougher than they prefer. He is big and still growing, so he might be too much for a small dog. His favorite game is tug, whether with people or a doggie playmate. Chugs will be a wonderful companion for any active family who’s willing to put in a little effort and patience to help him grow up and grow into himself with confidence. He has so much potential with his smarts and willingness to please.
