Meet Bonbon (SPECIAL NEEDS- read below)Bonbon is a sweet and spirited mixed breed puppy who`s ready to find her forever home! Her favorite pastime? Running and playing in the yard with a furry friend! Bonbon gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. She may be a bit too enthusiastic for cats, but she listens well when redirected-especially by her little senior foster siblings who remind her to mind her manners. This smart girl already understands several commands, including `Leave her alone,` `Go outside,` `Come here,` `Down,` and `Go to sleep.` And if you say `NomNom,` she`ll come running-she knows that means good things are coming her way!Bonbon uses the doggie door and follows a regular potty schedule. She`s great on a leash and truly enjoys her walks. Adventurous, strong, and eager to please, Bonbon is a wonderful mix of playful energy and loving affection. She`s also great with kids and would make a fantastic family dog.Don`t miss the chance to meet this happy, affectionate pup! If you`re looking for a loyal companion who`s always up for fun and snuggles, Bonbon could be your perfect match.SPECIAL NEEDS:Chronic Congenital LymphedemaLymphedema is the abnormal accumulation of protein-rich lymph fluids in interstitial space. Bonbon was born with this condition, and in her case, she has a swollen left front paw. It is not causing her any trouble and according to the vet no further treatment is needed. In extreme cases, problems may present in the future that may require re-evaluation. Additional information will be shared with interested applicants.Email: puppies@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:1) Be at least 21 years of age2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household3) Have approval from the residence owner4) Have valid ID with current address5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards.***

Story
URGENT!!! As we didn't have an open foster home for Everett and he needed to get out of the shelter, we moved him to a great boarding/doggie day care but he is stressing out. Everett needs a great foster or foster to adopt home that can help him get good groceries and help him gain some much needed weight. PLEASE CALL LISA AT 6306941359 if you can help!! Click here for Everett's Facebook Album April 2025: Welcome handsome Everett to IBR! We are a little stumped at what might be in his mix-- perhaps German Shorthaired Pointer, or Vizsla and possibly Doberman with the tan highlights around his face and legs. He was found as a stray in the Rockford area and he was emaciated. He is still very thin and his coat shows the signs of being malnourished. He also has some old bite wounds around his face. He is a very sweet dog, was play bowing with most of the dogs in my yard. Best guess is he is 5 or older at the condition of his teeth and once he has gained enough weight we will consider a neuter and a dental. The next step in his care is getting his blood work to check his overall health and to look for underlying tick borne diseases. We are looking for a loving foster or foster to adopt home in the Chicago area (with a safe fenced in yard) to help him recover. If you are interested in helping, our application is at www.helpibr.org If you would like to help with his medical and food expenses we have PayPal at www.illinoisbirddogrescue.org VENMO @illinoisbirddogrescue and ZELLE with info@illinoisbirddogrescue.org If you would like to help, please click HERE to submit a foster to adopt home application. Story
At 4 years old, Titan embodies everything glorious about German Shorthaired Pointers – and we mean everything. This handsome boy bounces through life like he`s perpetually on a trampoline, pointing at squirrels, leaves, and probably your sandwich with equal enthusiasm.Titan`s ideal family understands that GSPs don`t have an `off` switch – they have a `slightly less caffeinated` setting at best. He`s wonderfully dog-friendly and dreams of a home where his humans appreciate his artistic interpretations of `sit,` his creative landscaping skills, and his uncanny ability to find the muddiest puddle within a 5-mile radius. If you`re ready for a loyal, energetic companion who thinks every day is the best day ever (especially if it involves running, hiking, or chasing things), Titan might just be your perfect match. Warning: GSP ownership may result in increased fitness levels and decreased couch time!Titan weighs 60lbs

At 11 years young, Indy proves that age is just a number—especially when you`re a German Shorthaired Pointer with selective hearing and an unshakeable belief that your human`s favorite shoes make excellent chew toys. This handsome silver fox has mastered the art of looking dignified while simultaneously plotting his next great adventure. Whether he`s pointing at squirrels from the couch or demonstrating his impressive counter-surfing skills, Indy brings that classic GSP charm with a dash of senior wisdom. He`s a social butterfly who gets along famously with other dogs and believes every human he meets is his new best friend. Indy still has plenty of pep in his step for walks and play, but he`s equally content being your Netflix binge-watching companion.Ready for a loyal sidekick who`s house-trained but still delightfully unpredictable? Indy`s your guy!Indy weighs 53lbs
