Story
Cruella is a beautiful 3-1/2 year old female Pointer/Terrier mix who was surrendered by her owner on May 27, 2026 after she had moved to a new residence .. And then the landlord imposed a large monthly fee in order for Cruella to stay in the apartment/house ..which made the rental payment unaffordable. Cruella has a white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with a patch of black on the right side of her face, a single black 'eyebrow' on the left side of her face, a black button nose, and short floppy black-spotted ears. This lovely girl has a happy, outgoing personality and loves attention. Her owner told us that Cruella is good with children, cats, and other dogs ... And that she is 'a fast eater'. Cruella weighs 65 lbs and has already been spayed. Some of our long-time volunteers and followers on our Facebook pages may remember Cruella since she is an HSOV alumnus. Cruella originally came to our shelter on April 5, 2023 after she was picked up at the People's Bank location on Main Street in Lowell Ohio. She was a tiny 4-month old puppy at that time, so we have 'baby pictures' which we can share with her new family. These glamour pictures of Cruella were taken late in the afternoon on May 28th 2026 when HSOV Volunteer/Board Member Mel Hartz spent time with Cruella in our outdoor photo area. Cruella posed like a Westminster 'Best of Show' and naturally enjoyed attention from Mel. It was touching to see Cruella 'perk up' when she saw a car pulling into the parking area during her photo session, so we had to wonder if she thought it was her family coming back for her. Cruella was also interested in watching other dogs being walked in the distance by volunteers during an after-hours dog walk. Cruella would dearly love to be back in nice home again instead of in a shelter kennel or floor crate.
