Hi future best friend, My name is Vince 💙 I’m about 2 years old, 64 pounds of handsome Lab/GSP mix perfection, and I’m currently living in Houston, TX but I’m very ready to relocate straight onto your couch 🛋️ First things first, I am not a Rottweiler, I know I’m shocked too 🤯 Do not worry, I still give off that strong, handsome, loyal energy. I’m actually a Nottweiler, which means nothing, I come with all the devotion and heart melting stares, I am just as goofy and I’m still a snuggly package 📦 I used to roam the Houston streets, but I’ve officially retired from my “independent era.” Turns out I absolutely love the indoor life 🏡I slept through the night on my very first evening inside like the polite gentleman I am 💤 I’m fully house trained, I’ve had zero accidents, and I treat the house with total respect. Rugs are friends, not bathrooms.🚽 My absolute favorite thing in the world is being near my people 💙 If you sit down, I will be there! If you move rooms, I will escort you. If you’re feeling sad, I will lean on you dramatically until you don’t have a choice but to feel better. I’ve been told I have a soulful stare that makes humans melt, and my little couch snore is apparently the cutest thing ever 😴 I take my nap game very seriously. I walk beautifully on leash and don’t pull, though I will admit that squirrels are extremely suspicious and deserve my full attention 🐿️ I’m crate trained and do great overnight or when left alone, but between us, I’d much rather be cuddled up next to you. I don’t chew things I shouldn’t, I don’t get into mischief, and I truly don’t ask for much beyond food, love, and some outdoor time ☀️ I’m still figuring out other dogs. I might whine a little when I see them, but it’s more of a what’s happening and should we be friends? Type situation than anything else. Slow, thoughtful introductions will help me feel confident. I do prefer female dogs over male! I haven’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but I’m a gentle, affectionate guy with a soft heart. ❤️ I’m sweet, I’m calm and I’m deeply loving 🥰 I’m the kind of dog who just wants to do life right by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you endlessly and happily share your couch forever, I’m your Nottweiler. Adopt me. I promise your lap will never be empty again. 💙

We adopted Jade while on vacation, through an adoption event that was going on. We were told she was a lab, however, her vet believes she is more of a German short-haired pointer mixed with some lab. She is about 1 year and 10 months old (we were not given her exact birthdate) and is up-to-date on vaccinations. Jade is very energetic but loves to cuddle, she is very smart, and is good with other dogs and children. She is a bit anxious and is resource guarding when it comes to food. She is crate trained and potty trained for the most part, but she will sometimes pee if she is anxious or not let out soon after drinking water. We are looking to re-home Jade because we have two Goldendoodles that are very laid back dogs. Jade wants to play and our other dogs like their down time. Jade loves attention and will sometimes get jealous when we give our other dogs attention. We feel that Jade would thrive in a home where she is the only dog or where she can have individualized attention.

🐄 Meet the Cow Puppies! 🐄The Cow Puppies came to us as tiny bottle babies about six weeks ago after our local dog warden reached out for help. 🍼🐶 They did have a mother, but sadly she was not socialized with people. Because of that, she was interfering with the ability to properly care for the puppies, and we knew that if they stayed with her they would likely grow up fearful and possibly aggressive toward people.So we stepped in, and thanks to some wonderful foster homes these little ones have spent the last six weeks learning exactly what being loved by humans is all about. ❤️🏡 They’ve grown into social, affectionate, happy-go-lucky puppies who greet the world with wagging tails and zero worries. 🐶💛They’ve experienced life in homes, met kids 👧🧒, and been around other animals 🐾, helping them develop into well-rounded puppies. Now that they’ve graduated from foster care, they’re ready to find families of their very own. 🎓🐕For once, we were actually able to see both parents! Mom was a black-and-white, roughly 50-lb dog who looked like a German Shorthaired Pointer mix. Dad was a white-and-brown dog, also over 50 lbs, who appeared to be a German Shorthaired Pointer or possibly a hound mix. Some of the puppies even have a bit of a Beagle-like build. 🐕 In other words: adorable mystery mutts with lots of charm.Right now they range from about 7–12 lbs. ⚖️ Based on their parents’ size, we estimate they’ll grow to be 40+ lbs when full grown, though with mixed breeds we can never guarantee size or breed.Because their spotted coats reminded us of tiny cows, we named them after different cattle breeds. 🐄Girls: Aberdeen, Brown Swiss, Holstein, Jersey, and Longhorn 🎀Boys: Angus, Brahman, and Hereford 💙Each puppy has been:🐾 Spayed or neutered💉 Given their first vaccines🦟 Flea & tick treated🪱 Dewormed📍 MicrochippedTheir adoption fee is $300.If you’re ready for a playful, well-socialized puppy who had the best start thanks to dedicated fosters, one of the Cow Puppies might be the perfect addition to your herd. 🐄🐾💛You can stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. Delta is a beautiful 2-year old female German Shorthaired Pointer who was brought to the HSOV and placed in an outdoor kennel after closing hours on February 14, 2026. Delta was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This little beauty has a chocolate brown/liver-colored coat with brown/liver-and-white ticking, a short docked tail, and a classic German Shorthaired Pointer face with dark brown eyes, a narrow white stripe on her muzzle, a brown/liver-colored nose, and large floppy ears. Delta has a happy, outgoing personality and was full of playful energy when HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied her for outdoor pictures on February 14th. Delta demonstrated her pointing skills several times during her photo session (smile). Delta appears to be housetrained since she quickly 'took care of business' as soon as she stepped into a grassy area and before she posed for her glamour pictures. Delta has a slim build. She was energetic on a leash and loved running laps around HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Moore. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Delta will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. If she is not reclaimed, we will accept HSOV adoption applications for Delta beginning on February 18, 2026. Delta will be spayed before being officially adopted (a requirement for HSOV dog/cat adoptions to be finalized). Update: Delta was spayed on February 23, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine.
